Earthshaker is a melee strength hero who is usually played as a support and initiator. He can stun and trap enemy heroes with his Fissure and Aftershock, while dealing great damage in one attack with his Enchant Totem. However, his best asset is perhaps his Echo Slam, which causes more damage the more enemies are in the area, making it a wonderful initiation skill. Earthshaker is tanky enough to survive an initiation inside enemy territory, and he can assist his team without needing many items. A great support that can be equally deadly being played defensively or aggresively.

Fissure makes Earthshaker split the ground, creating an impassable line of rock and stunning enemies. A great ability, it not only stuns, but it can also trap enemy heroes, denying them an escape route and ensuring an easy kill. Don't always try to block enemies with it, since most of the time the stun alone will be sufficient. Be careful not to block your own allies on the wrong side of the ridge, as they also can't cross the ridge.
