Shadow Shaman is a ranged intelligence hero that is commonly played as a support and pusher. He has great crowd control abilities, being able to take an enemy out of the fight with his Hex or Shackles. Shadow Shaman is known to be a very powerful pusher. His Ether Shock can wipe out creep waves and his Mass Serpent Wards will melt a tower.

Ether Shock lets you strike the target and other nearby enemies in a cone-shaped area. While it's very good for pushing creep waves, it can also do great damage to multiple heroes if you position yorself so they are in a cone-shaped area in front of you. With a cooldown of merely 8 seconds, it's quite spammable.
Hex

Hex will turn the targeted enemy into a harmless chicken, rendering them unable to cast abilities as well as slowing them down to minimum movement speed. A very potent disable, catching an enemy with it can mean death to the enemy if there are heroes nearby. Use it on important enemy heroes like carries during a teamfight.
Shackles

Shackles will completely disable an enemy while dealing damage over time. Since it is channeled, you are also unable to do anything except keep channeling the spell. The damage is quite lackluster, so you'll want to have teammates nearby to take down the shackled enemy. Use it on enemy heroes your team will want to focus fire at quickly during teamfights.
