Paper Mario/Koopa Koot

Koopa Koot is the eldest, stingiest, Koopa in the village. He lives in the farthest house in the eastern half. After you rid the village of the fuzzies, you will be able to complete a series of favors for him.

Beginning

1. Koot wants to borrow the book "Koopa Legends" from Kolorado. Go down two houses (to the house with the yellow roof) and retrieve the book from Kolorado's wife then return it to Koopa Koot.
   • Reward: 1 coin
2. Koot wants a Sleepy Sheep. If you don't have one, you can buy one at Toad Town's Shroom Grocery for 10 coins.
   • Reward: 1 coin, the silver credit

Chapter 1

1. Koot asks you to retrieve a tape from Goompa that he lent out a long time ago. Just head over to Goomba Village and ask Goomba for the tape.
   • Reward: 1 coin
2. Koot asks you to bring him some Koopa Tea. First search the bushed in Koopa Village until you find a Koopa Leaf. Then bring the Koopa Leaf to Tayce T. in Toad Town and have her cook the Koopa Leaf alone. She'll give you some Koopa Tea for you to bring back to Koot.
   • Reward: 3 star pieces
3. Koot wants Luigi's autograph. Go to Mario's house via the pipe near the entrance to Toad Town and talk to Luigi to get the autograph. Note: If you do this after Chapter 2 but before you get the Super Boots you will not be able to talk to Luigi. Come back after acquiring the Super Boots at Boo's Mansion.
   • Reward: 1 coin

Chapter 2

1. Koot lost his wallet when he went to the store. You can find it in some bushes in front of the blue house with the music player.
   • Reward: 1 coin
2. Koot wants a Tasty Tonic. If you don't have one you can buy one at Harry's Shop in Toad Town for 5 coins or at the shop in Yoshi Village for 2 coins.
   • Reward: 1 coin
3. Koot wants another autograph (This time from Merluvlee)! First go to Shooting Star Summit and talk to Merluvlee while standing next to her. She'll agree to give you the autograph if you retrieve a crystal ball from her sister Merlee in Dry Dry Outpost. Merlee is located in the back alley of the area in Dry Dry Outpost where you first talked to Moustafa. To get in the back alley jump over some boxes that are lying in the gap between two houses. Get the crystal ball from Merlee and then bring it to Merluvlee to get the autograph.
   • Reward: 3 star pieces

Chapter 3

1. Koot wants to get caught-up on the Toad Town News. Go to the News billboard (it's right in front of Merlon's House) and read both the front and back of sign.
   • Reward: 1 coin
2. Koot is feeling insecure in his old age and wants you to give him a life shroom. If you don't have one you can buy one at the shop in Boo's Mansion for 50 coins, at the Shiver City shop for 40 coins, or at the shop in Star Haven for 25 coins.
   • Reward: 1 coin, the gold credit
3. Koot wants a nutty cake. First go to the main square in Goomba Village and hit the tree by the house with your hammer to obtain a Goomnut. Then go to Tayce T. and have her cook the Goomnut alone to obtain the nutty cake.
   • Reward: 1 coin

Chapter 4

1. Koot can't sleep because of the racket next door. Go to the house with Bombette as your current party member and talk to the bomb-ombs to get them to quiet down.
   • Reward: 3 star pieces
2. Koot has become self-conscious about his popularity and wants you to retrieve an Old Photo from his younger days that he left at Boo's Mansion. Go there and talk to the first boo you see on the ground floor to retrieve the photo.
   • Reward: 1 coin
3. Koot wants some Koopasta. First obtain a Koopa Leaf from one of the bushes in Koopa Village. Then go the shop in Dry Dry Outpost and buy some Dried Pasta for 3 coins. Take the two ingredients to Tayce T. and have her cook them together to receive the Koopasta.
   • Reward: 1 coin

Chapter 5

1. Koot lost his glasses somewhere in Koopa Village. You can find them in one of the bushes in front of the Toad House.
   • Reward: 1 coin
2. Koot wants you to bring him a lime. From Dry Dry Outpost go into the desert and then two squares down to reach the Oasis. Hit the lime tree with your hammer to obtain the lime.
   • Reward: 3 star pieces
3. Koot wants another snack, this time it's a Kooky Cookie. First grab a Koopa Leaf from one of the bushes in Koopa Village then go down into Shy Guy's Toybox. From the first train station walk left until you reach the area with the Shy Guy's who are carrying different items. Attack the Shy Guy with the cake mix then go to Tayce T. and have her cook the Koopa Leaf with the cake mix to obtain the Kooky Cookie.
   • Reward: 1 coin

Chapter 6

1. Koot wants you to retrieve a package from some Boos in the Gusty Gulch. Go to the gulch and talk to the Boo next to the save block. Leave the area and talk to him again to get the package then take it back to Koot.
   • Reward: 1 coin
2. Koot wants a coconut. If you don't already have a coconut they can be found in the trees on Lavalava Island.
   • Reward: 1 coin
3. For his last favor Koot wants you to bring him a nice Red Jar. Go to the shop in Dry Dry Outpost and buy items in this order Dusty Hammer, Dried Pasta, Dusty Hammer, Dried Shroom. The owner of the shop will recognize your secret message and give you the Red Jar.
