These two routes contains a massive amount of trainers that you will have to battle in order to reach Bill's House. Both of these routes contains Grass piles and watery parts that provide a big variety of Pokémon.

==Route 24==
Take on Route 24, which starts at the bridge North of Cerulean City. It's as straightforward as it gets.
[[Image:Pokemon FRLG Route24.png|right]]
Route 24 starts at the bridge at the north part of Cerulean City. On this bridge you will have to fight five trainers and then a Team Rocket Grunt, who will ask you to join Team Rocket (Note: you can heal after each trainer and still receive your reward). After you defeat him, you will receive a Nugget. If you go west after the bridge there is a trainer, and piles of grass and water that contain this route's Pokémon.

===Pokémon found===
The bridge challenges you with five trainers to beat (you may always heal at the Pokémon Center between each battle), ending with a Team Rocket Grunt, who awards you a '''Nugget''' before asking you to join Team Rocket. To the West, after the bridge, there's another trainer, and some tall grass with this route's Pokémon. Further North there's another patch of grass in the border with the next route.

==Route 25==
Nuggets were made for players to sell them at Poké Marts and get some money. They don't really serve another purpose and aren't important. Don't worry, they're not finite items: there are ways to repeatedly earn them, although they take some work. For example, Meowth's Pickup ability can generate Nuggets. It can also generate Pecha Berries, considering that there's one obtainable on this route.
Route 25 starts a bit east to the end of the bridge on route 24. It's got even more trainers and at the end of it you can find Bill's house. When you get to Bill's house, you will see a {{bp|Clefairy}}. Talk to him and he will go inside the machine. Then, go the PC and press {{gb|A}}. He will come out from the other side as Bill. Talk to him and receive the S.S Ticket.

Route 24 (partial view).

Take on Route 24, which starts at the bridge North of Cerulean City. It's as straightforward as it gets.

The bridge challenges you with five trainers to beat (you may always heal at the Pokémon Center between each battle), ending with a Team Rocket Grunt, who awards you a Nugget before asking you to join Team Rocket. To the West, after the bridge, there's another trainer, and some tall grass with this route's Pokémon. Further North there's another patch of grass in the border with the next route.

New Pokémon[edit]

#43 Oddish
Pokemon 043Oddish.png

Another Pokémon that is exclusive only to Pokémon FireRed. Most of its attacks include absorbing HP from the opponent, which is very useful for long fights without easy access to a healing center, and status inflicting Powders that are helpful when you try to catch other Pokémon. Oddish evolves into Gloom at Level 21, and can further evolve into Vileplume by using a Leaf Stone or Bellossom (after you defeat the Elite 4) by using a Sun Stone.

#69 Bellsprout
Pokemon 069Bellsprout.png

A Grass/Poison-type Pokémon LeafGreen exclusive. It also learns status inflicting Powders like Oddish. Bellsprout is a good choice for a Grass-type Pokémon if your starter Pokémon wasn't Bulbasaur. Its final form is Victreebel, which is more offense-orientated than Vileplume or Bellossom.

#63 Abra
Pokemon 063Abra.png
The first Psychic-type Pokémon in these games. Abra is very sneaky, so when you try to catch him, you can either throw a Poké Ball or try to put it to Sleep or Paralyze it. If not, it will Teleport away.

Its final form is Alakazam, which is a very powerful Pokémon and a great choice for your team. To evolve Abra into Alakazam, you'll have to trade it with someone.
