This page is meant to be a comprehensive guide on all items in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness.
Seeds[edit | edit source]
- Blast Seed - When thrown, damages an enemy. When eaten, damages the Pokémon in front of the one who eats the seed.
- Blinker Seed - Makes items and other Pokémon not visible.
- Doom Seed - Lowers a Pokémon's level by 1.
- Eyedrop Seed - Allows the player to see traps.
- Golden Seed - Raises a Pokémon's level by five.
- Heal Seed - Removes all negative status effects.
- Joy Seed - Raises a Pokémon's level by 1.
- Life Seed - Slightly boosts a Pokémon’s Maximum HP.
- Pure Seed - Warps the Pokémon to the room with the floor’s stairway.
- Plain Seed - Fills the Belly by 5. Has no other effect. A used Reviver Seed becomes a Plain Seed.
- Quick Seed - Speeds up the Pokémon that eats it.
- Reviver Seed - Revives a Pokémon if it faints in a dungeon.
- Sleep Seed - Puts whatever Pokémon eats it to sleep. Throw it at an enemy.
- Stun Seed - Petrifies whatever Pokémon eats it. Throw it at an enemy!
- Vile Seed - Minimizes Defense and Special Defense. Throw this one at a boss!
- Violent Seed - Raises Attack and Special attack by a LOT. Lasts until you die.
- Warp Seed - Warps the eater to a random spot on the floor.
- X-Eye Seed - Temporarily blinds a Pokémon. It cannot see to attack. Throw it at an enemy!
Orbs[edit | edit source]
- All-Mach Orb - Speeds up the user and all team members on the floor.
- Blowback Orb - Knocks a foe flying. If it hits a wall, it sustains damage.
- Cleanse Orb - Cleans sticky, gummed-up items.
- Drought Orb - Drains all water and/or magma from the dungeon floor.
- Escape Orb - Lets you escape from a dungeon without losing items or money.
- Evasion Orb - Boosts the Evasiveness of all team members.
- Foe-Hold Orb - Petrifies all enemies on the floor. Explorers of Time only.
- Hail Orb - Changes the weather to hail.
- Hurl Orb - Hurls the target forward.
- Identify Orb - Reveals all Pokémon holding items.
- Itemizer Orb - Turns the target into an item.
- Lob Orb - Inflicts damage on a target up to 2 tiles away.
- Longtoss Orb - Gives Long Toss status to the user, which makes any item thrown by the user fly until it hits a wall or a Pokémon.
- Mobile Orb - Gives Mobile status to the user. A Pokémon with the Mobile status can move through walls and gullies and walk on lava and water.
- One-Shot Orb - Defeats the target in one shot, if it hits.
- Petrify Orb - Petrifies all enemies in the room.
- Pounce Orb - The user travels instantly in a straight line to the nearest enemy or wall.
- Quick Orb - Speeds up the user and all team members in the room.
- Radar Orb - Reveals the location of all enemies on the floor.
- Rainy Orb - Changes the dungeon floor’s weather to a Rain condition.
- Rocky Orb - Inflicts damage on the target. It also reduces the target’s Movement Speed by 1 level.
- Rollcall Orb - Draws all team members to the user.
- Sandy Orb - Changes the dungeon floor’s weather to a Sandstorm condition.
- Scanner Orb - Shows the location of all items on the floor.
- Shocker Orb - Afflicts a distant target with a Cowering status condition. A Pokémon with the Cowering status will find that its attacks go in the opposite direction of its aim.
- Sizebust Orb - Inflicts damage on the target. The bigger the target’s size, the greater the damage.
- Slow Orb - Lowers the Speed of all foes in the room.
- Spurn Orb - Warps all enemies in the room to random locations on the floor.
- Stairs Orb - Marks the location of stairs on the map.
- Stayaway Orb - Petrifies an enemy and warps it near the stairs.
- Sunny Orb - Changes the dungeon floor’s weather to a Sunny condition.
- Switcher Orb - Switches the user's position with the foe's position.
- Trawl Orb - Draws all items on the floor to the user. Beware! If there is a shop on the floor, this is considered shoplifting.
- Warp Orb - Warps the target to another place on the floor.
Hold items[edit | edit source]
- Amber Tear - Increases the chance that a defeated Pokémon will join the team by 15%.
- Brown Bow - Boosts Attack, Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense.
- Curve Band - Allows thrown items (but not rocks) to bounce off walls and fly sideways along walls.
- Defense Scarf - Boosts Defense.
- Detect Band - Boosts Evasion.
- Friend Bow - Increases the chance that a defeated Pokémon will join the team by 5%.
- Goggle Specs - Makes traps and invisible Pokémon become visible.
- Golden Mask - Increases the chance that a defeated Pokémon will join the team by 20.1%.
- Gold Ribbon - Has no effect, but can be sold for a good price (2000 Poké).
- Grass Cornet - Makes it easier to recruit defeated Grass-type Pokémon.
- Heal Ribbon - Speeds up the Pokémon's natural HP healing, but makes the Belly go down faster.
- Joy Ribbon - Gives experience when the holder takes damage.
- Lockon Specs - Boosts Accuracy of thrown items.
- Mobile Scarf - Allows Pokémon to move through walls, water, and magma, but makes the Belly go down faster.
- Munch Belt - Boosts Attack and Special Attack, but makes the Belly go down faster.
- Pass Scarf - Allows the Pokémon to shrug off the effects of a move and pass them on to an adjacent Pokémon.
- Pecha Scarf - Prevents the holder from being poisoned.
- Persim Band - Prevents the holder from being confused.
- Power Band - Boosts Attack by 12.
- Racket Band - Helps awaken sleeping enemies (only works if they were asleep to start with)
- Sky Melodica - Makes it easier to recruit defeated Flying-type Pokémon.
- Special Band - Boosts Special Attack.
- Stamina Band - Slows the rate that the team leader's Belly empties.
- Terra Cymbal - Makes it easier to recruit defeated Ground-type Pokémon.
- Trap Scarf - Prevents traps from activating when stepped on.
- Twist Band - prevents Attack and Special Attack from lowering.
- Viridian Bow - Boosts Attack, Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense.
- Warp Scarf - Occasionally warps the holder to another place on the same floor.
- Wonder Chest - Increases EXP gained by roughly 10%.
- X-Ray Specs - Allows the Pokémon to see the locations of all items and enemies on the floor.
Evolution items[edit | edit source]
- Beauty Scarf - Allows Feebas to evolve into Milotic.
- Coronet Rock - Allows the evolution of Magneton into Magnezone and Nosepass into Probopass.
- Dawn Stone - Allows the evolution of male Kirlia into Gallade and female Snorunt into Froslass.
- Deepseascale - Allows Clamperl to evolve into Gorebyss (requires Link Cable).
- Deepseatooth - Allows Clamperl to evolve into Huntail (requires Link Cable).
- Dragon Scale - Allows Seadra to evolve into Kingdra (requires Link Cable).
- Dubious Disc - Allows Porygon2 to evolve into Porygon-Z (requires Link Cable).
- Dusk Stone - Allows the evolution of Murkrow into Honchkrow and Misdreavus into Mismagius
- Electirizer - Allows the evolution of Electabuzz into Electivire (requires Link Cable).
- Fire Stone - Allows the evolution of Eevee into Flareon, Growlithe into Arcanine, and Vulpix into Ninetales.
- Frozen Rock - Allows the evolution of Eevee into Glaceon
- Leaf Stone - Allows the evolution of Gloom into Vileplume, Nuzleaf into Shiftry, Weepinbell into Victreebell, and Exeggcute into Exeggutor.
- Link Cable - Allows the evolution of many Pokémon. Sometimes the Link Cable must be combined with another evolution item in order for evolution to occur.
- Lunar Ribbon - Allows Eevee into Umbreon, Gligar into Gliscor (requires Razor Fang), Sneasel into Weavile (requires Razor Claw) and Chingling into Chimecho.
- Magmarizer - Allows Magmar to evolve into Magmortar (requires Link Cable).
- Metal Coat - Allows the evolution of Onix into Steelix, and Scyther into Scizor.
- Moon Stone - Allows the evolution of Clefairy into Clefable, Nidorina into Nidoqueen, Nidorino into Nidoking, Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff, and Skitty into Delcatty.
- Mossy Rock - Allows Eevee to evolve into Leafeon.
- Protector - Allows Rhydon to evolve into Rhyperior.
- Razor Claw - Allows Sneasel to evolve into Weavile (requires Lunar Ribbon).
- Razor Fang - Allows Gligar to evolve into Gliscor (requires Lunar Ribbon).
- Shiny Stone - Allows the evolution of Roselia into Roserade and Togetic into Togekiss.
- Sun Ribbon - Allows Eevee to evolve into Espeon, Budew into Roselia, Happiny into Chansey and Riolu into Lucario.
- Sun Stone - Allows the evolution of Sunkern into Sunflora and Gloom into Bellossom.
- Thunderstone - Allows the evolution of Pikachu into Raichu and Eevee into Jolteon.
- Upgrade - Allows Porygon to evolve into Porygon2 (requires Link Cable).
- Water Stone - Allows the evolution of Eevee into Vaporeon, Poliwhirl into Poliwrath, Shelder into Cloyster, Staryu into Starmie, and Lombre into Ludicolo.
