This route has a lot of grass, a small water area and 10 trainers ready to challenge. In addition, the gate building separating this area from Route 12 is where one of Professor Oak's Aides awards the Itemfinder.

New Pokémon

#96 Drowzee
Drowzee is a Psychic-type Pokémon, which evolves into Hypno. Hypno is outclassed by Alakazam in sheer power, however, Hypno has higher attack and defense stats. Consider using a Drowzee if you want a more durable Psychic-type Pokémon, or are unable to evolve Kadabra through trading, as its move combo of Hypnosis and Dream Eater can be very powerful when used wisely.

Trade For
Nidorino Nidorina or
Nidorina Nidorino

The building at the end of this path offers the opportunity to trade the first evolution of the version of Nidoran common to your game, so if you skipped the chance to acquire on Route 5's underground path, you can do it here as well.
