Keyboard controls
- Ctrl+E = Exit video game
- Ctrl+K = Karma
- Spacebar = pass
- A = attack
- B = Board (frigate or skiff)
- C = Cast spell
- D = (unused)
- E = Enter (town or location)
- F = Fire cannon (on frigate)
- G = Get
- H = Hole up and camp (on land) or Hull repair (on frigate)
- I = Ignite torch
- J = Jimmy lock (use a key)
- K = Klimb up/down stairs
- L = Look
- M = Mix reagents for a spell
- N = New order of party members
- O = Open door or chest
- P = Push
- Q = Quit and Save
- R = Ready a piece of equipment
- S = Search
- T = Talk
- U = Use item
- V = View a gem
- W = (unused)
- X = Exit (frigate, skiff or flying carpet)
- Y = Yell
- Z = See menu
- Ctrl+B = Buffer on/off
- Ctrl+M = Turn around
- Ctrl+S = Sound on/off
- Ctrl+V = Version
- 1-2-3-4-5-6 = Set active player
- 0 = Return active player to party
NES controls
- A = Use active item
- B = Interact with surroundings (get, talk, etc.)
- Start = Open menu
- Select = Change character (in menu)
