Classification Heavy Armor

The Darkwalker is the Necris heavy tank. It consists of an armored cockpit with two seats and mounted weapons on top of a tripod-like walking mechanism.

It has a lot of armor, but stands very tall and moves very slow, making it an easy target.

Movement[edit]

Normal movement keys are usable from the pilot position to move forward, backward, left or right. Pressing the crouch key causes the Darkwalker to duck down while moving, enabling it to enter smaller areas. Being on legs, the Darkwalker can move over rough terrain with ease.

Primary Fire[edit]

Pilot[edit]

Primary fire is a devastating twin-particle beam attack. It is a fire and hold weapon, so it fires and hits instantaneously and stays active for a few seconds, then needs a few seconds to recharge before firing again. The attack does a lot of damage, but does not turn as fast as the targeting reticle can, so it can be difficult to keep the beams on a fast-moving enemy. It is equally effective on armor and infantry.

Gunner[edit]

Primary fire is a fast-firing pulse cannon that is very effective on infantry and moderately effective on armor.

Secondary Fire[edit]

Pilot[edit]

The secondary fire emits a sonic burst emanating from the bottom of the Darkwalker that will send infantry flying, push larger vehicles around and knock pilots out of Vipers and Mantas.

Gunner[edit]

Secondary fire does the same as primary fire.

Strategies & Tactics[edit]

  • Keep an eye out for fast-moving enemies attacking from short range; if they get too close use secondary fire to cripple them, then step back and shoot them
  • The primary fire is excellent at long range because it hits instantly and will lock onto targets if you aim close enough, so look for distant targets to hit
