Take him around to the other side of the rooftop to find Natalie; she'll come running and the pair will have an emotional reunion - keep your camera handy and take a photo when the icon pops up for a massive bonus and enough PP to get The Artiste achievement. Speak to either of them again and Natalie will join your party for a further 5,000PP. Bringing the pair back to the Security Room together will get you 20,000PP.

Aaron Swoop		Woman's Clothing Store, Al Fresca Plaza	September 19, 4:00pm	Barricade Pair	Aaron is barricaded in a woman's clothing store in Al Fresca Plaza with another survivor named Burt. He is cowering in a corner, wailing and crying.You have to attack Burt because he immediately starts to attack. Beat him down a bit and he should surrender. Talk to him, convincing him that you're bringing them to safety, and lead him back to the Security Room. Aaron should automatically join you when Burt does.

Leah Stein		Riverfield Jewellers, Al Fresca Plaza	September 19, 5:00pm	A Mother's Lament	Leah is in a jewellers in Al Fresca Plaza. When you start to talk to her, she grabs onto you, wailing for her lost baby, Grace. You should automatically push her away after a while. Talk to her a couple more times and she'll join. Leah is injured in her leg and cannot walk very quickly. You'll have to carry her to the Security Room. This is slightly easier than an uninjured human as you don't have to deal with the AI and they can't be attacked.
Greg Simpson		Wonderland Plaza Space Ride	September 19, 9.00pm (after)	Out Of Control	Once you've defeated Adam, Frank will find Greg in the Wonderland Plaza Space Ride. Speak to him and he'll join your party, and offer to show you a shortcut back to the Security Room. Follow Greg down to the women's bathroom in Wonderland Plaza, taking a photo of him as he stops to call for you to follow him. Once you're in the bathroom, jump up onto the sink and go over to the left-hand side to find the shortcut entrance, which will take you to the women's bathrooms in Wonderland Plaza.

Ross has been badly injured by the zombies and asks Frank for a gun to defend himself with once you take Tonya away - but under no circumstances should you give him one. If you're too late arriving to the Photographer's Pride scoop, Tad will be killed by Kent before you arrive.
Simone Ravendark		Players, Paradise Plaza	September 21, 3:00pm	A Woman In Despair	Simone won't join your party unless you've learned that Isabela is a medical technician, in Case 6-1: Santa Cabeza. It's essential to bring her back for the Transmissionary achievement; the Simone The Gunslinger scoop will come through from Otis later in the game. If you go for Saint, you may only have Simone or Barnaby. If you stop before 6-1 you keep Barnaby, but if you keep playing Barnaby will die and you will be able to keep Simone.

Survivors by room

The survivors you save end up in different places in the security room. Knowing which room a survivor becomes a resident of is important, because some scoops need survivors in a particular room in order to activate.

Other survivors

In addition to the survivors listed above, there are 11 people in the Entrance Plaza before the zombies break in can be photographed and will count towards the Portraiture and Census Taker achievements.

Several other characters, including Brad, Jessie, Dr. Barnaby, Ed DeLuca (the helicopter pilot) and Isabela, will also be included in the Survivor count in some game endings.

Frank West	Frank West	Frank is an overly zealous freelance photographer and photojournalist. He originally came to Willamette for the "scoop of a lifetime", thinking that the incident was a simple riot. He manages to uncover the truth and escape with Isabella in the true ending.
Brad Garrison	Brad Garrison	A DHS agent who reluctantly fights alongside Frank throughout the story. He assumes the responsibility of re-stocking the Security Room with healing items and trying to locate Dr. Barnaby early in the game. He is shot by Carlito in the "Rescue the Professor" case and needs a medikit to be revived. He goes after Carlito in the "Bomb Collector" case and is shot and trapped in a room packed with Zombie's. He is later found by Frank in the process of transforming into a zombie.
Jessie McCarney	Jessie McCarney	Brad's rookie partner, charged with watching the monitors for information on the person/people responsible for the outbreak. Like Brad, she is distrustful of Frank, and patronizes him for being a civilian.
Otis Washington	Otis Washington	An elderly janitor at Willamette Parkview Mall, who tries in vain to stop Frank and Brad re-entering the infested parts of the mall. He gives Frank information about the mall, and notifies him of new scoops, via a radio transceiver.
Dr. Barnaby	Dr. Barnaby	An old man central to Brad and Jessie's investigation, and who seems to know more about the true nature of the outbreak than almost anyone else.
Connie		Mother in the car at the title opening.
Dakota		Daughter in the car at the title opening.
Ed DeLuca		Helicopter pilot. Whether he lives or not, depending on the ending, he is not in the roster of survivors when beating 72 Hour mode, meaning that he's technically unsaveable.
Alan Peterson		Survivor in Entrance Plaza before the zombies break in, cannot be saved. Arguing near the shutters at the back of the Entrance Plaza.
Kathy Peterson		Survivor in Entrance Plaza before the zombies break in, cannot be saved. Arguing near the shutters at the back of the Entrance Plaza.
Freddie May		Survivor in Entrance Plaza before the zombies break in, cannot be saved. Erecting a barricade at the front doors.
Brian Reynolds		Survivor in Entrance Plaza before the zombies break in, cannot be saved. Standing together under the right-hand stairs.

James Ramsey		When you go to Cletus he asks for weapons before you comes in and later gets shot by Cletus. Later when you defeat Cletus, Cletus runs away and a zombified James kills him.
