To defeat the Lich in the easiest manner possible, gold is required. Purchase at least 3 Invulnerability power-ups, 2 Light Amulets, 3 3-Way Shots, and 3 Rapid-Fires from the store. Enter the battle with the Book of Protection and unleash everything on him. Be sure to stay far enough to maximize the effectiveness of your 3-Way Shot. You should be able to kill the Lich around the time your invulnerability wears off, if not purchase more power-ups. | |||

It is recommended to get the Good Book in the sky shipyards and be at least level 30 or 35.
Try to strafe around the boss and attack him throughout the entire fight.
