First, start this level by shooting the generator in front of you to stop enemies from coming out from and collect the two treasures and key and three red crystals. Also to note that you cannot return here after going up the hill and around, as gates will block your path from returning, so make sure you get everything.
At the windmill, collect the potion and make sure you don't hit it, or it will be a waste. Also collect the two red crystals and the two health items in the area and don't get hit by the blades from the windmill as you will take damage. In the river area, collect the red crystal in a corner before moving on. When you get to the river area, take the two red crystals and key ring and hit the wall to the left of the river to get a potion in the chest. Also, there is a chest in the area that contains a turbo boost. There is a red crystal hiding in the haystack, so hit it to uncover it and watch out for the poison food in the middle of the river area, for it will take health.
Next, go up the elevator and around to a chest that has acid breath in it. Go down into the general's area and under the walkway and below there are health items, so get them after killing him. Beside the shack is a health item. Now search the shack's door to the find the first runestone.
Go forward to the water wheel area and collect the five red crystals here and the key. Go up the ramp and watch out for traps on the floor. From now on throughout the game, that will hurt you, so try to avoid these at all costs. The chest above has meat in it, so get it if need to and go down the elevator. In the next area, turn around and hit the wall behind you to get the wings that elevate you and treasure. Now collect the gas mask above the elevator, two health items below and the chest with a phoneix familar. Hit the haystack to get a key ring in the bottom corner and get the four red crystals in this area.
In the next area, collect the red crystal in front of the last red crystal and hit the haystack to uncover two more crystals. Below is another crystal, so collect them before moving on to the next area as well as the two health items to the left. Go past the haystack and get the purple crystal and key ring and go around to collect four red crystals in the area. On the bridge, collect the health item in the middle and watch out for archers. The chest to the left contains a potion. Now go to the right of the chest to the opening in the bridge's side to raise a wooden log up to you that has a health item on it. Take it down to collect the two crystals below, and move forward to raise another two wooden platforms up with a supershot. Continue forward and around to collect four red crystals, and hit the hidden wall below to get two treasures and a blue crystal. Go up and left to the next area.
Collect the three health items if you need them, and get the purple crystal above the switch. Now hit the switch and go below near the river and the chest will have a treasure in it. Hit the switch under it to raise the first golden item. Collect it and move on to the next area. Now go up and around, getting the health item and hitting some boxes to uncover another health item in the same area as the chest, which contains a rapid fire. Now go around and collect the health item and hit the switch behind you and get on the moving platform and collect the four crystals after getting off. You can shoot enemies from here as well as in other areas in the game, so take advantage of these times to get free hits.
In the next windmill area down, don't hit the green barrels because they are toxic and drain health like the red death in this game does, as the black death takes a level from you. So avoid them in the future. Go to the right and collect the purple crystal in the corner and go up to collect the key ring and two health items on the walkway above and the three red crystals. In the next area, collect the ham that sits freely to the left and a health item in the barrel. The chest has a trap that destroys items around it, so be careful as it takes health too when you get hit by it. Open the gate above and ride the elevator above and avoid the traps on the walls from now on.
In the next area, collect the potion and hit the switch above you to lower the bridge to the general above. Now go right and collect the key and above is a chest. It's a trap, so to get the item behind it, which is a health item, you need to hit the barrel at the same time the chest explodes, like with the weapon thunder hammer. Now go up and get the key and hit the switch in the corner to lower a platform in front of the exit. Go left and open the gate. Gates take keys to open, so watch your keys and now go left to collect four red crystals and kill the general and collect the turbo boost and treasure, before moving over the bridge.
Moving left and around to the next area, collect the health item in the barrel below the exit and kill death with a potion or hit the potion in front of him to kill him. Now collect the purple on the switch, which lowers the wall in front of the exit. Finally, collect the blue crystal and stand on the exit to leave this level.
