Path to Topple
From Cascade Cottage, head right and you're on the area called the Path to Topple. The only enemy around here is the rabite, a cute little critter that has disproportionatly large fangs. Luckily for you, you have your staff, which has the ability 'bash'. Rabites are weak to bash. Lay waste to them! Note that after killing the rabites and remaining where you are, the rabites mysteriously respawn. Anyway, walk to the next screen (it's on the bottom right).
The next screen is called the 'Path to Cave', but it's also the path to Topple, so just continue down the screen, you can't reach the cave right now anyway.

Topple Outskirts
Upon entering the outskirts, head right and go up the stairs for the item Angel Grail. Also head south and to the farthest left, up the stairs and continue left to the next screen, there should be a chest with a Gumdrop in it.
Go back to where you were, go to the next screen, just proceed through the screens and make sure that your MP is full, until you finally get to the Meadow.
