Here are the new units the protoss will get in Heart of the Swarm.

New units[edit]

Oracle[edit]

This unit is a fragile aircraft but it is a powerful harassment unit with multiple special abilities and fast movement speed.

Tempest[edit]

New Capital ship that hits enemies with its long range weapons. It does bonus damage to massive air units only but like carriers they are weak to Vikings, Corruptors and Void Rays.

Mothership Core[edit]

This unit can be received by building only a Cybernetics core and owning a Nexus and it can turn into a Mothership.

Returning units[edit]

The Carrier has returned to serve alongside the Tempest.

Modified Structures and Units[edit]

The Nexus gains new abilities.

The Phoenix will receive some changes due to players concern about the effectiveness on fighting massed mutas in multiplayer games.
