The first shard is located before the mini-boss, in between two Sirkibbles. It's a very obvious find.

Going through Pop Star Level 1 the first time requires you to defeat a Waddle Doo at the end of the course. It is recommended that you have some type of ability to defeat him with ease. When you have successfully done away with the Waddle Doo, the 3<sup>rd</sup> and final crystal for this stage will appear.

This is the shortest and easiest stage in the game. In the beginning there is a small yellow star all the way to the left of the stage.
