Dragon Warrior III/Pachisi Track

Pachisi (a.k.a. Sugoroku in Japanese) is a board game where you move from a starting tile to one designated as the finish. On the way to the finish there are many obstacles and positive bonuses. You need a Pachisi Ticket to play.

Rules

At the start you will receive a set amount of dice on each track. For example you will get 10 dice for the first track and 70 for the fifth track.

When it is your turn, you can throw a die (if you haven't used them all yet), look around the map, check your stats, or quit playing Pachisi.

Rewards

After you reach the goal you can receive a wonderful prize. Also note that the game board also has some treasure chests, cupboards, and pots that have some stuff to grab in Chests, cupboards and pots. There are 5 Tracks which exist on Overworld and in Alefgard and each Track get harder then the old ones. There is even gold pass with which you can play unlimited on all Tracks.

Yellow Fields

On those yellow Fields are unique Treasure to grab. The next time you land on it, it will be empty.

Green Fields

On those Fields you may get random Treasure, Money or you encounter a Monster. In Forest the Encounter-Rate is high and on Mountain even higher. Sometimes there appear also Trapdoor.

On those Fields you can sleep for a small Price and you can buy stuff. Some Shops have things you can't get anywhere else.

Those force you to take a certain Path. You can't use the other Paths that is available.

With it you can go up or down a Level.

The left drop you a Level below which is often outside the Game which mean Game over for you and you have to start it all over again. The right bring you to another Field where you can continue playing.

Blue Fields

If you land on it, then you have to move back so much fields as it stand on Field (1-6).

The Amouts of Dice you can throw will be reduced (1-3).

The Amouts of Money you have will be reduced (50-3000).

Red Fields

If you land on it, then you have to move forward so much fields as it stand on Field (1-6).

The Amouts of Dice you can throw will be added (1-5).

You will receive Money (50-5000).

Special Fields

You start the Game here.

With reaching the Goal you finish the Game and can grab special Treasure. On the 4. Track there is another Goal which is marked with a Key.

The left take away your MP (up to 25%) and the right even reduce your MP to 0!

Return you back to the Startfield.

What happens on this Field is random. You may receive Money, fight Battle, lose Experience, change Personality, etc.

You may receive one Stat-Bonus or lose one. First throw the Dice to determine what Stats will be changed (1-Strength, 2-Agility, 3-Stamina, 4-Wisdom, 5-Luck or 6-HP). The second throw will determine how much you will receive/lose. The last throw will determine if the Stats are added or reduced (1-3 reduced, 4-6 added).

Restore your HP/MP completely.

This will hurt you up to 25% of your HP.

Let you fight Monster immedidialy.

Pachisi Track 01

It's between two Towns.

The first Track is between Romaly and Kanave. As you enter it, a man will fall down from the Game. Go right and talk with the hooded man. He mention a hole over the podest. Step on it and check the ground for a Pachisi Ticket.

That will be your entrance ticket if you don't have one yet. Go south and up the stairs. Talk to the man near the Startfield to start the game. You will then given 10 turns to complete the game.

Pachisi Track 02

The second Track is between Ashalam and Desert Shrine. Check the middle of the left Blue-Tile Ring for a Small Medal and go up. On this Track you are given 22 turns to complete the game.
