The Submarine hunt minigame is a minigame that occurs when you first acquire your very own submarine in Disk 2. The game consists of piloting your submarine around a fairly small map, avoiding mines and torpedo fire from other submarines while trying to sink the red Shin-Ra submarine with torpedoes, which is transporting the huge materia that the party is after. The minigame can be won very easily, as the Shin-Ra sub starts out right in front of the player sub, and sinking it is just a matter of pressing the "Fire" button enough times.
