The Sarranids are a new faction introduced in the Warband expansion to Mount&Blade.
The Faction Army tree is very similar to Swadians and Vaegirs, but units use different weapons. Usually Sarranid units are less armored than their Vaegir and Swadian alternative unit trees. However, they are much faster. Their archers are not as strong as, say, Vaegir archers, but they are significantly faster. Their elite cavalry (mamlukes) are extremely well-armored, but they usually wield one-handed weapons as opposed to lances.
