Xevious Arrangement is a vertical scrolling shooter game, which was initially released by Namco as a part of their compilation arcade game Namco Classics Collection Vol. 1, in 1995; it is the fifth title in the Xevious series, as well as the second one which allows two players to play simultaneously. It was later included in the Sony PlayStation port of its immediate predecessor, Xevious 3D/G, in 1997 - and as in Galaga Arrangement, several new enemies have also been introduced including four new types of Andor Genesis motherships (which are easier to defeat in two-player mode, because in the single-player mode, you will, like in the original Xevious and 1984's Super Xevious, be sent back to the start of the current area, or forward to the start of the next one for having cleared over 70% of it if you die).
If you manage to clear all sixteen areas in one coin, the game will also not end at that point; instead, you will have to play "Extra Area 1", and if you manage to clear it without dying (in two-player mode, both players have to clear this area without getting killed in order to continue), you shall have to play "Extra Area 2". Furthermore, if you manage to uncover and destroy sixty Sols over the course of the game, you will have to play "Extra Area 3" - however, you will still have to clear the sixteen standard areas in one coin, and clear "Extra Area 1" without getting killed, in order to satisfy this requirement. Also, if you clear "Extra Area 3" without running out of lives, you will receive a 1000000-point bonus.
