For the most part, getting the best weapon is a matter of buying the one at the most recent city, but sometimes, you can get a better one for free with a little exploring or hard work.
Materia growth is an important factor in weapon choice. All weapons are listed in order of ability points multiplier AP, i.e. number of slots times growth, from least to greatest.
Characters are sorted by the same order they join the party.
Weapons can be sold for half of their price. Weapons whose price is 0 (found only) can be sold for 1 Gil. Note that sale price is half of purchase cost, so a listed cost does not necessarily mean you can buy the weapon anywhere.
- A. = Attack.
- A%: = Attack rate, accuracy.
- M = Magic Attack bonus.
- AP = number of slots times growth rate; useful for players who prefer Materia over physical attacks.
- Gil = price in Gil, the currency of Final Fantasy.
