This is a pretty short cave, but it is full of goodies. Onix and Sandshrew are new additions to your Dex. There are some Hikers using mostly Rock/Ground types, with a few Firebreathers thrown in, easily noticed by their orange hair and red clothes. There are some items on the ground, a few hidden items in some rocks, but nothing of real importance.

You'll find a staircase near the north entrance which leads you to a dead end and two items. If you come back here when you have Surf, you'll be able to travel across the lake. You'll find two more Trainers to battle. Past them, you will find two different staircases, each leading to a different part of the Ruins of Alph. One of these two paths also requires Strength to access.

If you travel across the lake at the very southwest side of the cave (near the Route 33 entrance), it will lead you to a hidden staircase. This staircase will lead you to a short, straight cave (with two Trainers to battle), and past there another staircase to a large cavern that is eventually a dead-end. There are three more Trainers here, as well as two items.

However, there is much more here on Fridays. If you travel to the large pool at the very southmost part of this room on a Friday, you will find waiting for you a Level 20 Lapras, which is one of the better Water/Ice hybrids.
