Mysteries

This is a list of the mysteries encountered during the investigation of St. Mystere.

The Golden Apple
Baron Reinhold's Will entrusts his entire fortune and estate to the one who finds the Golden Apple. The Apple is supposedly somewhere in St. Mystere, but no one knows where it is or what it looks like.
Noise at the Manor
A loud noise reverberated through the manor just as Professor Layton and Dahlia were about to shake hands. The noise was so startling that it cause Claudia to run from the room in fright.
The Vanishing Crank
While searching for Claudia, Layton and Luke come across another mystery. Someone has stolen Franco's drawbridge crank. Without that crank, no one can get in or out of the village.
Dropped Cog
The murder at the mansion shook everyone up. Matthew kept a calm head, however, and searched the room for clues. He found a small cog engraved with a hammer and wrench. Why would this cog be at the scene of the crime? More importantly, who dropped it?
Lady Dahlia
The late Baron's first wife, Violet, looks identical to Lady Dahlia. They are not related, but there has to be some sort of connection for them to look so alike.
Abductions
Rumor has it a number of villager's have disappeared recently. Oddly enough, those who disappear (or are abducted, as some suggest) often do so after complaining of general fatigue or other minor health issues.
Rumbling Tower
Walking the streets of St. Mystere at night, occasionally a thunderous rumbling fills the air. The noise is rumored to come from the tower, but no one in town seems to know the origin of the sound. Villagers claim that the noise has increased in frequency as of late.
Ramon
When Layton and Luke finally tracked down Ramon, they were shocked to see him being kidnapped by an old man. Shortly thereafter, Ramon returned to the mansion with no memory of ever being abducted or stuffed into a sack. What's happened to Ramon's memory?
Chelmey
Though Chelmey claims to dislike all sweets, a scrap of newspaper Luke found claims that his favorite food in the world is sweet-potato fritters. That being the case, why did Chelmey fly into such a rage when Matthew brought him sweets at the manor?
Key
Deep underground on the edge of town, the professor and Luke found an unusual key shaped like the tower. While the connection between the key and the tower seems certain, no one can figure out where to use the key or what it unlocks.
