Pet achievements


Fetch a Fair Price

Send your pet to town

  • In the top left corner of the User Interface there is a button shaped like a money bag that will send your pet to town.
  • Sending your pet to town will sell all the items it currently has in its inventory and bring you back the money obtained from selling.

Beast of Burden

Fill your pet's inventory

  • Your pet has it's own inventory that you can view by pressing "P". Filling this inventory will earn you the achievement.

Pet Trainer

Equip a spell on your pet

  • There are a verity of fish in the game, some of these will transform your pet into a monster for a specific length of time. Go fishing, find one of these fish and feed it to your pet.

Shape-Shifter

Change your pet by feeding it fish

  • There are a verity of fish in the game, some of these will transform your pet into a monster for a specific length of time. Go fishing, find one of these fish and feed it to your pet.

Sorcelator's Servant

Transform your pet into a Mimic

  • Much like the achievement above you must find a fish that transforms your pet. In the description it will tell you what kind of monster it will transform your pet into.
  • The name of the fish is unknown.

Transmogrifier

Permanently transform your pet

  • There is a potion available from the potion seller that will transform your pet into a Cat or a Dog permanently. Transform your pet into the opposite species then its current type to get this achievement.
    • The name of the potion that is transforms your pet into a dog is unknown.
    • The name of the potion that is transforms your pet into a cat is unknown.

Price of Loyalty

Use 50 potions on your pet

  • Your pets HP and MP can be recovered using potions much like your own. Using 50 potions on your pet will earn you this achievement.
  • To quickly use potions on your pet you can use Shift + Right Click.
  • Additionally if have potions on your quick bar using Shift + that number will use the potion on your pet.
    • Example: If 1 is your HP potion, pressing Shift + 1 will use the HP potion on your pet.
  • You can get this achievement quickly by standing back, setting your pet to Aggressive by clicking the Sword in the top left corner, then letting it fight ahead of you while you do nothing but heal it with small potions.

Fishing achievements


Angler

Catch 50 fish

  • Through out the game you will find "Fishing Holes". Cast your rod and catch a total of 50 fish.
  • For the number of fish your character has caught is in your Journal (viewable by pressing "J").
  • You do not have to do this on one character.
    • If you have 2 characters and one has killed 10 and the other has killed 40 you will get this achievement. (unconfirmed)
    • The characters don't need to be retired from the other, it can be a completely separate one. (unconfirmed)
  • You will earn this achievement after you've changed maps. (unconfirmed)

Fisherman

Catch 100 fish

Enchanting achievements


The Need for Greed

Suffer 20 disenchants from the enchanter

  • Enchanting an item adds bonus stats to the item, however its not always successful. If you end up disenchanting 20 different times this consolation prize is yours.
    • Enchanting price is based on the price of the item your enchanting.
    • The quickest, cheapest way to get this is to go to the first floor of the Mines, kill a few monsters until you find a low level item. Keep enchanting this item over and over again until you've removed all the enchants of the item. Remember the achievement only shows up if you leave map, so leave map every so often to check if you've got the achievement.
  • There are some mods that remove the chance for you to fail, if you have one of these you will not be able to disenchant (also called an item wipe).
  • You will earn this achievement after you've changed maps.

Bum Luck

Have an item disenchanted on the first enchantment attempt

  • Enchanting an item adds bonus stats to the item, however its not always successful. If all of the enchants are removed the first time you attempt to enchant the item this consolation prize is yours.
  • There are some mods that remove the chance for you to fail, if you have one of these you will not be able to disenchant (also called an item wipe).
  • You will earn this achievement after you've changed maps. (unconfirmed)

Trolling for Punishment

Kill 25 Champion Trolls

  • If you're having trouble getting trolls you can start the Shadow Vault all over again. Just reenter the Shadow Vault from town and run through it ignore the weak monsters looking for Champion Trolls.
  • Champion trolls have clever gold colored named.
  • You do not have to do this on one character.

  • Through out the game there are levers that trigger various things like bridges, treasure rooms, traps, and puzzles.
  • You should be able to get this through a single play through of the game.

Sir Mixes-a-Lot

Successfully create 25 items using the transmuter

  • In Torchlight there is an NPC who will combine items to create different, and sometimes better, items. Transmute 25 times and this achievement is easily yours.
  • There is a list of transmutation recipes.
  • The quickest way to get this achievement would probably be combining 3 low level HP potions, found at the shop near by.
  • Your current Transmute count can be found in your Journal (viewable by pressing "J").
