Some torchlight achievements are a little inconvenient and require that you change maps for the achievements to unlock. Such achievements are marked with this map icon.

This icon is for the achievements based on the sum of all your characters. You do not have to do these achievements on one character. For example, for the Catch 100 Fish achievement, if you have two characters and one has caught 30 and the other has caught 70, you will get this achievement. The characters don't need to be retired from the other, it can be a completely separate one.

Ironman Victory: Defeat Ordrak without buying anything (this is goal assumed)

  • This achievement appears to be glitched and may be unobtainable.
  • Ordrak is the final boss in the Mines, it is assumed that you must reach Ordrak without buying any items.
  • Ordrak is found on floor unknown of the Mine.

Pet achievements

Fetch a Fair Price: Send your pet to town

  • In the top left corner of the User Interface there is a button shaped like a money bag that will send your pet to town.
  • Sending your pet to town will sell all the items it currently has in its inventory and bring you back the money obtained from selling.

Beast of Burden: Fill your pet's inventory

  • Your pet has its own inventory that you can view by pressing  P . Filling this inventory will earn you the achievement.

Pet Trainer: Equip a spell on your pet

  • There are a verity of fish in the game, some of these will transform your pet into a monster for a specific length of time. Go fishing, find one of these fish and feed it to your pet.

Shape-Shifter: Change your pet by feeding it fish

  • There are a verity of fish in the game, some of these will transform your pet into a monster for a specific length of time. Go fishing, find one of these fish and feed it to your pet.

Sorcelator's Servant: Transform your pet into a Mimic

  • Much like the achievement above you must find a fish that transforms your pet. In the description it will tell you what kind of monster it will transform your pet into.
  • The name of the fish is unknown.

Transmogrifier: Permanently transform your pet

  • There is a potion available from the potion seller that will transform your pet into a Cat or a Dog permanently. Transform your pet into the opposite species then its current type to get this achievement.
    • The name of the potion that is transforms your pet into a dog is unknown.
    • The name of the potion that is transforms your pet into a cat is unknown.

Price of Loyalty: Use 50 potions on your pet
Achievement requires map change to unlock.Achievement takes sums from all characters.

  • Your pets HP and MP can be recovered using potions much like your own. Using 50 potions on your pet will earn you this achievement.
  • To quickly use potions on your pet you can use  Shift +Mouse right click.
  • Additionally if you have potions on your quick bar using  Shift + quick bar number will use the potion on your pet.
    • Example: If 1 is your HP potion, pressing  Shift + 1  will use the HP potion on your pet.
  • You can get this achievement quickly by standing back, setting your pet to Aggressive by clicking the Sword in the top left corner, then letting it fight ahead of you while you do nothing but heal it with small potions.

Fishing achievements

Angler: Catch 50 fish

  • Through out the game you will find "Fishing Holes". Cast your rod and catch a total of 50 fish.
  • For the number of fish your character has caught is in your Journal (viewable by pressing  J ).

Fisherman: Catch 100 fish

  • Through out the game you will find "Fishing Holes". Cast your rod and catch a total of 100 fish.
  • For the number of fish your character has caught is in your Journal (viewable by pressing  J ).

Fisher King: Catch 1,000 fish

  • Through out the game you will find "Fishing Holes". Cast your rod and catch a total of 1,000 fish.
  • For the number of fish your character has caught is in your Journal (viewable by pressing  J ).
  • You do not have to do this on one character.
    • If you have two characters and one has killed 300 and the other has killed 700 you will get this achievement. (unconfirmed)
    • The characters don't need to be retired from the other, it can be a completely separate one. (unconfirmed)
  • You will earn this achievement after you've changed maps. (unconfirmed)

Enchanting achievements

The Need for Greed: Suffer 20 disenchants from the enchanter
Achievement requires map change to unlock.Achievement takes sums from all characters.

  • Enchanting an item adds bonus stats to the item, however its not always successful. If you end up disenchanting 20 different times this consolation prize is yours.
    • Enchanting price is based on the price of the item your enchanting.
    • The quickest, cheapest way to get this is to go to the first floor of the Mines, kill a few monsters until you find a low level item. Keep enchanting this item over and over again until you've removed all the enchants of the item. Remember the achievement only shows up if you leave map, so leave map every so often to check if you've got the achievement.
  • There are some mods that remove the chance for you to fail, if you have one of these you will not be able to disenchant (also called an item wipe).

Bum Luck: Have an item disenchanted on the first enchantment attempt

  • Enchanting an item adds bonus stats to the item, however its not always successful. If all of the enchants are removed the first time you attempt to enchant the item this consolation prize is yours.
  • There are some mods that remove the chance for you to fail, if you have one of these you will not be able to disenchant (also called an item wipe).

Enchanted: Successfully enchant one item 5 times

  • Enchanting an item adds bonus stats to the item, however its not always successful. If you fail all enchants are removed. You must have five enchants at the same time.
  • A good way to tell how many enchants your item has is by the disenchant percentage. If you put your item in and it says 12% chance of failing, stop right there. You have it.
  • The chances of this happening can be increased with mods that decrease of eliminate the chance of enchantment wiping, but will make disenchant achievements impossible to get if not already obtained.

Enchantment Overload: Successfully enchant one item 10 times

  • Enchanting an item adds bonus stats to the item, however its not always successful. If you fail all enchants are removed. You must have 10 enchants at the same time.

Quest achievements

Questor: Complete 200 quests

  • Complete 200 quests total, pretty self explanatory.
  • If you plan on doing 100% of the achievement chances are your going to get this one done without any extra work.

Universally Understood: Complete 25 Gar Quests
Achievement requires map change to unlock.Achievement takes sums from all characters.

  • This achievement refers to Gar, an NPC located next to the Shadow Vault in Torchlight, complete 25 of his quests and unlock this achievement.

Down the Hatch: Complete 50 Hatch quests
Achievement requires map change to unlock.Achievement takes sums from all characters.

  • In Torchlight, below your stash, is a man who will give you quests. Completing these quests counts towards your Hatch Quest count. Do 50 and unlock this.

Monster kill achievements

Wabam!: Kill 5,000 monsters

  • Each kill is tracked and added to the counter, kill 5,000 and you will get this.
  • For the number of monster your current character has killed is in your Journal (viewable by pressing  J ). But this is the sum of all your characters.

Supreme Slayer: Kill 50,000 monsters

  • Each kill is tracked and added to the counter, kill 50,000 and you will get this.
  • For the number of monster your current character has killed is in your Journal (viewable by pressing  J ). But this is the sum of all your characters.

Trolling for Punishment: Kill 25 Champion Trolls

  • If you're having trouble getting trolls you can start the Shadow Vault all over again. Just reenter the Shadow Vault from town and run through it ignore the weak monsters looking for Champion Trolls.
  • Champion trolls have clever gold colored named.
  • If your really wondering "Was that a champion?" watch your Journal (viewable by pressing  J ) and watch your champion kill count.

Character achievements

Walkabout: Take 25,000 steps

  • Each step you take in game is tracked, once you've walked 25,000 steps you will get this.
  • For the number of steps your character has currently taken is in your Journal (viewable by pressing  J ).

Mod achievements

  • Add one mod to get this.
  • You will earn this achievement at the character menu after the game has loaded.

Mod Maniac: 5 mods installed at the same time

  • Add five mods to get this.
  • You will earn this achievement at the character menu after the game has loaded.

Modpocalypse: 10 mods installed at the same time

  • Add 10 mod to get this.
  • You will earn this achievement at the character menu after the game has loaded.

Miscellaneous achievements

Gibbed: Blow 25 enemies to pieces with critical strikes
Achievement requires map change to unlock.Achievement takes sums from all characters.

  • When you score a critical finishing blow the monsters will explode in a bloody mess. Do it 25 times and you've got yourself an achievement.
  • Should come easily.

Ka-Chunk!: Pull 100 levers
Achievement requires map change to unlock.Achievement takes sums from all characters.

  • Through out the game there are levers that trigger various things like bridges, treasure rooms, traps, and puzzles.
  • You should be able to get this through a single play through of the game.

Sir Mixes-a-Lot: Successfully create 25 items using the transmuter
Achievement requires map change to unlock.Achievement takes sums from all characters.

  • In Torchlight there is an NPC who will combine items to create different, and sometimes better, items. Transmute 25 times and this achievement is easily yours.
  • There is a list of transmutation recipes.
  • The quickest way to get this achievement would probably be combining three low level HP potions, found at the shop nearby.
  • Your current Transmute count can be found in your Journal (viewable by pressing  J ).

Rich: Collect 250,000 gold

Deep Pockets: Have 100,000 gold in your inventory

Epic Strike: Do at least 10,000 damage to an enemy in a single strike

The Horse Whisperer: Achieved enlightenment by speaking with the horse 100 times

Master Smasher: Smash 1,500 breakables

Speed King: Defeat Ordrak in less than 5 hours

Deep Delver: Reach the 50th floor of a dungeon
