Meanings of the Bestiary
Name
What the monster is called.
Location
Where the monster is found.
HP
Stands for Hit Points, which is how much damage the monster can take before it is killed. The number in brackets is the damage that the final blow must inflict to acheive an Overkill.
MP
Stands for Mana Points or Magic Points, and is used up when the monster casts spells.
Attributes
Strength - S
How strong the monster is.
Defense - D
How well the monster an withstand physical attacks.
Magic - M
How strong the monster's magicks are.
Magic Defense - MD
How well the monster can resist magical attacks.
Agility - A
The rate of which the monster appears in the CTB window to attack.
Luck - L
The rate of which Hits become Critical Hits.
Evasion - E
How well the monster evades attacks.
Accuracy - Ac
The rate of which physical attacks hit an opponent.
Elementalistics
ABS
The monster absorbs the damage and turns it into HP for itself.
IMM
The monster is immune to the element and no damage is received.

The spell inflicts half damage.
1
The spell inflicts normal damage.

The spell inflicts half more damage.
Status Effects
SLC
Silence resistance.
SLP
Sleep resistance.
DRK
Darkness resistance.
PSN
Poison resistance. The number in brackets is the percentage of the maximum HP that is deducted each turn.
PTR
Petrification resistance.
SLW
Slow resistance.
ZMB
Zombie resistance. Healing items/spells have the opposite effect on Zombies. IMM means that they cannot be killed by a Phoenix Down, even if zombified.
PWB
Power Break resistance.
MGB
Magic Break resistance.
ARB
Armour Break resistance.
MNB
Mental Break resistance.
THR
Threaten resistance.
DTH
Death resistance.
PRV
Provoke resistance.
DOM
Doom resistance. The number in brackets indicates how long before death takes them.
NUL
"Nul..." Magic resistance.
SHL
Shell resistance.
PRT
Protect resistance.
RFL
Reflect resistance.
HST
Haste resistance.
RGN
Regen resistance.
DST
Distil resistance.
SNS
Sensor resistance.
SCN
Scan resistance.

Demi resistance.

ZNM
Zanmato resistance. The higher the figure, the monster will be more resistant to Yojimbo's Zanmato attack.
Biran and Yenke Ronso
These two, who fight Kimahri on Mt. Gagazet, have very strange atributes. If Kimahri's Magic and Strength are high, their HP is higher, and vice versa. Their agility increases with Kimahri's.
