Depending on which version you own goes by this following in order of previous generation console to current:
- Gamecube is defined by a left handed Link and the world is originated in that way.
- Wii is defined by a right handed Link and the world is flipped to reflect that.
- Wii U normal version is similar to the Gamecube with HD graphics, widescreen and controls specified to the console.
- Wii U hero mode follows the Wii version with the exception of the motion display control but none of the normal enemies would drop their hearts.
