Wii Controls

  • Control Stick (Nunchuk) - Move
  • C button (Nunchuk) - Move camera (hold for first-person view)
  • Z button (Nunchuk) - Focus or Lock on
  • Direction Pad Up (Remote) - Talk to Midna for a hint
  • Direction Pad Left (Remote) - Select item 1
  • Direction Pad Down (Remote) - Select item 2
  • Direction Pad Right (Remote) - Select item 3
  • B button (Remote) - Use selected item
  • A button (Remote) - Perform action
  • - button (Remote) - Toggle item-selection screen on/off, skip cut-scene (press twice)
  • + button (Remote) - Access collection screen
  • 1 button (Remote) - Access overworld map
  • 2 button (Remote) - Toggle onscreen map on/off
  • Lightly swing Nunchuk back and forth - Spin attack
  • Swing Remote - Swing sword
  • Use the Remote to move the targeting reticule onscreen

Gamecube Controls

  • Control Stick - Move
  • Direction Pad Up - Select an item
  • Direction Pad Left - Toggle onscreen map on/off
  • Direction Pad Down - Select an item

  • Z button - Talk to Midna for a hint
  • R button - Used with other buttons for combo attacks
  • L button - Strafe, lock on
