Controls in Bully fit into three basic groups: foot, bike and first-person aiming controls. Other control schemes are used for mini-games during class or other set-pieces, and will be described at the appropriate point in the guide.

On foot

Moving

  • Neutral lstick Walk/run
  • Neutral rstick Move camera/aim
  • Cross button Sprint (tap to run faster)
  • Square button Punch
  • Circle button Jump
  • Triangle button Perform action (context)
  • L1 button Lock on
  • L2 button Cycle weapons left
  • L3 button Look behind
  • R1 button Throw
  • R2 button Cycle weapons right
  • R3 button Toggle crouch
  • L1 button + R1 button Quick-select skateboard
  • Up dpad Aim mode/zoom in
  • Down dpad Zoom out
  • Right dpad Cycle * missions
  • Left dpad Cycle $ missions

Talking/fighting

  • Cross button Talk/apologise/flirt
  • Square button Attack
  • Circle button Taunt/push/wedgie
  • Triangle button Grab/shove
  • L1 button Lock on/guard
  • L2 button Cycle weapons left
  • R1 button Throw/fire catapult
  • R2 button Cycle weapons right

Vehicles

  • Neutral lstick Steer
  • Neutral rstick Move camera
  • Cross button Pedal
  • Square button Brake
  • Circle button Jump
  • Triangle button Dismount
  • L1 button Punch left (bikes only)
  • R1 button Punch right (bikes only)
  • L3 button Look behind

The controls for all vehicle types are very similar, although for the go kart and scooter tapping Cross button has no effect on your speed, the way it does for bikes and the skateboard.

Slingshot and camera aiming

  • Up dpad Zoom in
  • Down dpad Zoom out
  • Neutral lstick Move forward/back/strafe
  • Neutral rstick Aim/turn
  • R1 button Fire (hold to build shot power)
