Fatal Fury Special[edit]

Strange backround stuff[edit]

If you manage to reach round 4 in a match (by finishing one round with a double KO), strange (and funny) things will happen on most of the stages.

Fight against Ryo Sakazaki[edit]

If you finish a 1 player game without losing a single round, you will fight against Ryo Sakazaki after you've beaten Wolfgang Krauser.

Fight as Ryo Sakazaki[edit]

After you have beaten Ryo Sakazaki, wait for the demo mode to start. As soon a the screen says "FIGHT" insert the following code:

Arcade-Stick-Up.png Arcade-Stick-Left.png Arcade-Stick-Down.png Arcade-Stick-Right.png Arcade-Stick-Up.png Arcade-Button-APunch.png Arcade-Stick-Up.png Arcade-Stick-Right.png Arcade-Stick-Down.png Arcade-Stick-Left.png Arcade-Stick-Up.png Arcade-Button-CPunch.png

If correctly input you will hear Ryo's taunt.

  • NB: This only works on "Console" version of the game which will add a single 1P vs. 2P battle mode where Ryo will be selectable right beside Krauser.
  • P.S.: You can hack or download a hacked romset where Ryo is selectable on any game mode or version, although the game's AI will not recognize Ryo as a regular character, which will result in extremely easy bouts against the machine – even on MVS or level 8 difficulties.

Fatal Fury 3[edit]

Hidden Desperation Moves[edit]

Each character can perform a special Desperation Attack that must be unlocked. Please refer to this page for more information.

Special Finishes[edit]

On most stages, it is possible to trigger special animations by finishing an opponent with certain moves:

  • On Andy's, Joe's, Mai's, Hon's and Terry's stage: Push opponent to background plane.
  • On Blue Mary's stage: Catapult opponent to the ceiling.

Boss Fights[edit]

After a match is finished, the game grades your performance. Based on these grades, you will finish the game with a different boss and ending.

  • Poor performance ending boss : Ryuji Yamazaki
  • Average performance ending boss : Jin Chonshu
  • Above average performance ending boss : Jin Chonshu (with an appearance by Jin Chonrei at the very end)
  • Good performance ending boss : Jin Chonrei

If the game is set on the USA, ASIA or EUROPE bios, the game will reset after defeating Jin Chonrei and you won't get to see the ending. However, if the game is set on the JAPAN bios, you can watch the final ending.
