In the opening credits of Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, Lao is beaten in battle by Rick Strowd and Li Xiangfei. Years later in Garou: Mark of the Wolves, he is a member of the Lillian Knights, a group of modern day pirates, led by B. Jenet.
