The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match is a 2008 remake of the original The King of Fighters '98 that was a commemoration of one of the best games of the King of Fighters series .

Just like the KOF '94 remake the King of Fighters '94 Re-Bout this version has several new features like hi-res graphics, online play, team edit and a bunch of new playable characters. This game also features a new game mode called ultimate mode, that can be selected besides the original two game modes advanced and extra.

Besides the new characters (which are Eiji Kisaragi, Kasumi Todoh, Geese Howard, Wolfgang Krauser, Mr. Big, Leopold Goenitz and Orochi) this game also features several new versions of older characters (King (AOF style), Ryuji Yamazaki (RBFF style), Blue Mary (RBFF style) (RBFF style), Geese Howard (RBFF style), Orochi Iori and Orochi Leona).

The addition of the new characters brings the total character count to 64, which is the second highest character count in any 2-D fighting game, exceeded only by The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match. Template:Continue Nav
