Once Beraboh Man has made it back to dry land, the background has reappeared behind him and his energy bar at the bottom of the screen has refilled, start running to the right until you come to the left side of a stone staircase. A Kago will be making her way towards you down this side of the staircase; kick her twice to defeat her and collect the Fuku she has left behind before jumping up to the top of the staircase and crawling down its right side - and don't forget to collect the Ramen powerup to restore some of your energy before you drop down into a cavern beneath the stage's dojo. Once you have landed, you will see a Karasu Tengu hovering through the air; give him a kick to kill him and collect the Fuku he has left behind before continuing to the right, watching out for three Babito emerging from the cracks in the ground as you go. Jump onto the static "Kanameishi" platform in mid-air and use it to jump up to a dark marble ledge, then wait for another "Kanameishi" platform moving up and down in a fixed position to come down from above in order to get a lift up to a stone platform. Crouch down and crawl through the gap under another stone platform to your left before standing up again and jumping up to the aforementioned platform, then crouch down again and crawl through the gap to your right - watching out for a Tekyuu receding in and out of the dark marble ceiling just before you stand up again. After running down a dark marble staircase leading downwards and dropping down to another dark marble ledge, you will have to fight your fifth Goaan; this one has two more Tekyuu receding in and out of the dark marble ceiling above him, making it much harder to jump over him as he is pushing his way towards you. The safest way to kill him is to drop down from the ledge and punch him in the back as he is pushing his way to the left, then jump back up to the ledge as he is pushing his way back to the right. Once you have repeated this process six times and collected the Fuku he has left behind, crouch down and crawl through the gap under the dark marble ledge to your right - headbutting the three Popo slithering towards you and collecting the Fuku they have left behind as you go. Once you have made it to the other side of this gap, two more Kago will drop down from above and start creeping towards you. Punch each of them twice to defeat them and collect the Fuku they have left behind, then jump onto each of the paper lanterns on the left side of the screen in turn and use them to get up to a dark marble platform. You will now have to make a big leap from the edge of this platform if you want to restore some of your energy by dropping down the fourth of five spaces between four more long, vertical dark marble platforms and collecting another Ramen powerup; however, if you jump too far and drop down the fifth space, you will only collect a Suka powerup. Once you have landed, continue to the right until you come to another stone staircase leading upwards with two Dango standing on top of it. Once they have seen you, they will curl up into a ball and start bouncing towards you - give each of them a kick to kill them and collect the Fuku they have left behind before jumping up to the top of the staircase, then jumping to the left to land on a third stone staircase and jumping back to the right to land on a fourth stone staircase with a Green Ninja walking down it; kick him twice to kill him and collect the Fuku he has left behind before jumping up to the top of the staircase, crouching down and crawling through the gap under the ceiling to your right onto another dark marble platform. Once you have dropped down to the stone platform below you, you will have to drop down onto four more stone platforms in turn, alternating directions and watching out for several Tekyuu moving left and right in a fixed position as you go. Once you are back on the ground again, two more Popo will come slithering towards you - crouch down and give each of them a headbutt to kill them and collect the Fuku they have left behind before you stand up again, continue to the right and jump up to yet another stone platform. Another Karasu Tengu will be hovering through the air at this point; give him a kick to kill him and collect the Fuku he has left behind. You will now have to jump up to four more stone platforms in turn, alternating directions and watching out for several more Tekyuu moving left and right in a fixed position as you go once again. A fourth Kago will also be waiting for you once you have reached the top platform; punch her twice to defeat her and collect the Fuku she has left behind before continuing to the right and coming to four sets of receding spikes. The only time these spikes will not cause injury to Beraboh Man is when they have fully receded, so you must wait until each set has disappeared into the ground before you can pass over them and drop down to the ground outside the cavern. Once you have done so, Ugo 401 will instantly appear and try to ensure Beraboh Man's reversion to his original form by firing death rays at him; collect the Atom powerup to your right, then jump up and blast him four times to kill him. Once you have collected the Fuku he has left behind, continue to the right until you meet up with Fukubiki Man - who will, as always, greet Beraboh Man and give him one Onigiri energy bonus for every ten Fuku he has collected during the stage. Once he has cycled away, Beraboh Man will proceed to the eighteenth stage - which is the second of the "immediate boss fight" variety.
