Potions are split into two main categories, recovery and ailment curing.
===Recovery===
===Healing Potion===
Recovery potions help refill your health or mana, or both!
Health potions come in five types, each restoring a fixed amount of health over the course of a few seconds.
====Health====
* Minor Healing Potion : 30 health
====Mana====
* Light Healing Potion : 60 health
====Rejuvination====
* Healing Potion : 100 health
Rejuvenation potions heal both health and mana instantly rather than over time.  Powerful, but often misused.
* Greater Healing Potion : 180 health

* Super Healing Potion : 320 health
===Ailment Curables===
Some classes receive more health: Necromancer, Sorceress, and Druid receive the listed amount; Amazon, Paladin, and Assassin receive 50% more; Barbarian receives 100% more than the listed amount.
====Stamina====
===Mana Potion===
Not so much of a remedy for an ailment, but it does cure "fatigue" by maxing out your Stamina for thirty seconds or so before it begins to drop like normal.
Mana potions come in five types, each restoring a fixed amount of mana over the course of a few seconds.
====Antidote====
* Minor Mana Potion : 20 mana
Used to remove the poison status, antidotes are not commonly dropped and not commonly used since most poisons are slow acting and go away after a few seconds.  Another way to remedy poison is to go to the town's magic user/potion seller; they will heal you and remove the poison effect.
* Light Mana Potion : 40 mana
====Thawing potion====
* Mana Potion : 80 mana
Removes the player from frozen/chilled status.
* Greater Mana Potion : 150 mana
* Super Mana Potion : 250 mana
Some classes receive more mana: Barbarian receives the listed amount; Amazon, paladin, and Assassin receive 50% more; Necromancer, Sorceress, and Druid receive 100% more.
===Rejuvenation Potion===
Rejuvenation potions heal both health and mana instantly rather than over time.
* Rejuvenation Potion : restores 35% life/mana
* Full Rejuvenation Potion : restores 100% life/mana

Gems

Gems are equipment-enhancing items that only take up one slot of inventory space. You place them within socketed equipment; once placed, they can never be removed. There are seven types of gem (amethyst, diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire, skull, topaz) and each is available in five different qualities (chipped, flawed, normal, flawless, perfect). Each gives a bonus to the equipment it is placed in, which depends on the type of that equipment; socketed equipment also takes on a color based on the first gem placed in it. Like most items, each gem type has a character level requirement to be used, which ranges from 1 (chipped) up to 18 (perfect). Gem effects are fully stackable (including freeze length) when multiple gems/jewels are socketed in the same item. Using the Horadric Cube, three gems of one quality can be combined to create one gem of the next highest quality.
