Statistic Build

Luck Build (Normal)

LUK is only used for the Evan as a requirement to wear most Mage-specific equipment, with the usual requirement of LUK being 3 points above the equipment's level. When you get to lvl ten make sure your LUK is 13 and to get your LUK to be as the description below, at every 5th level put all points into LUK and at the other levels put them into INT

  • Level 10 -> 13 LUK
  • Level 33 -> 36 LUK
  • Level 50 -> 53 LUK
  • Level 98 and above level +3

INT is the Evan's main damage stat, as it determines the character's Magic Attack. Also, it increases the Magic Defense of the character as well. All points not spent on LUK should be put in INT, as the other stats do not help Magicians AT ALL!

No LUK Build

Lukless Evans keep their base LUK at 4 and add all their AP to INT. At lvl 197 a LUKless Evan will be unable to add more int past 999 base INT. At that point they add their points to LUK. with a ending stat distribution of 999 INT and 19 LUK at level 200.

If carefully built, a LUK-less Evan has far more potential than a LUK mage, and costs less (unlike most other statless classes). The magic attack in a weapon is divided several times, and then added to determine your minimum and maximum damage with a given spell, rather than multiplied like the weapon attack in most other weapons. This renders LUK obsolete. Their max MP is also vastly greater in higher levels because INT is what decides how much MP one gains at level up. Magic attack from weapons do not.

But remember Magician weapons and armors are luck restricted.

Maker Lukless

Maker lukless have the benefit of both being able to wear mage equipment and be considered lukless when they reach the highest levels of maplestory. They remain with the no luk build until level 50, which is the lowest level that maker equips can reach, and then adding enough base LUK up to a maximum of 19 to wear level 50 equips. Using Advanced wisdom crystals to make the level 50 gloves and shoes they make equipment that offsets the amount of LUK they had to put into their base stat to wear. The shoes on average will be 8 INT and the gloves 8 INT also, offsetting the 15 AP Maker Evans have to put into luk. This build is not recommended unless one has access to Zakum helms and other high level and expensive items.

First Mastery Skill Build

There are three options when making adding points to Evan skills. Actually four, but two build are only different for 1 point.

Offensive Build
  • Level 10: 1 Magic Missle (1)
  • Level 11: 3 Magic Missle (4)
  • Level 12: 3 Magic Missle (7)
  • Level 13: 3 Magic Missle (10)
  • Level 14: 3 Magic Missle (13)
  • Level 15: 3 Magic Missle (16)
  • Level 16: 3 Magic Missle (19)
  • Level 17: 1 Magic Missle (MAX) and 2 Dragon Soul (2)
  • Level 18: 3 Dragon Soul (5)
  • Level 19: 3 Dragon Soul (8)
  • Level 20: 3 Dragon Soul (11)

This build focuses on it's first available attack why removing points from it's bonus power skill. This build is a good one if you're new with Mages, or a new player. This build will offer stronger attacks in the beginning, while wasting a little bit more MP (7 difference with the next build) and thus wasting more pots.

Balanced Build
  • Level 10: 1 Magic Missle (1)
  • Level 11: 3 Magic Missle (4)
  • Level 12: 3 Magic Missle (7)
  • Level 13: 3 Magic Missle (10)
  • Level 14: 3 Magic Missle (13)
  • Level 15: 2 Magic Missle (15) and 1 Dragon Soul (1)
  • Level 16: 3 Dragon Soul (4)
  • Level 17: 3 Dragon Soul (7)
  • Level 18: 3 Dragon Soul (10)
  • Level 19: 3 Dragon Soul (13)
  • Level 20: 2 Dragon Soul (15) and 1 on either of them

This build creates a balance between the two skills by spending half of the total skill points in both skills and adding the last point to either of them. Not much to explain though. Just a build for beginners that want to have more magic attack later on, but also high damage in the beginning.
