Ammunition only applies to certain classes (Bowmen, Pirates, and Rogues), but is a vital component of their damage and equipment. The ammunition used for each job differs, but each type of ammo is consumed in a similar way. As a player attacks, the ammo is consumed one at a time, unless a special attack is used or some other condition applies.

Arrows[edit]

Arrows are a type of ammuntion that archers, crossbowmen, and wind archers can use to attack monsters via a bow or crossbow.

Bullets[edit]

Gunslingers must carry bullets to shoot monsters. Bullets are stored in the Use inventory, come in sets, and are rechargeable like throwing stars. To save money, remember that quantity is more important than quality.

Capsules[edit]

Capsules are a type of ammunition used by Third job Gunslingers (Outlaw/Valkyrie) when using the Flamethrower/Fire Burner and Ice Splitter/Cooling Effect skills. Both elemental skills can be used without capsules, but their attack power is halved. They require a gun to fire. In addition to inflicting a base amount of damage, capsules are enhanced by either the fire or ice element.

Throwing Stars[edit]

Throwing Stars are only used by Rogues while a claw is equipped.

If you're an assassin, no matter rich or poor, remember this: quantity is greater than quality. If you are beginner rogue (less than 500K in mesos), it is most advisable to buy sets of Mokbis. If you have 10 mil, don't spend it on Steelies, instead get a few sets of Tobis. Most people prefer to train for longer with a lot of lower +attack stars than having to go back and recharge every 10 minutes (recharge at any potion or weapon shop).

All stars other than: Subis, Paper Plane, Oranges, and Icicles, must be either found from drops or bought from other players. There is a large variance in the value of stars, so remember that the prices vary from version to version, from server to server, and that they are constantly changing.
