Current character creation icon for Resistance. Depicted are the Battle Mage, Wild Hunter, and Mechanic.

Battle Mages are part of the Resistance, in addition to Wild Hunters and Mechanics.

Battle Mage - AP Placement Magicians use Int as their main stat and LUK as their secondary stat.

Regular LUK Build Using Auto-Assign will always make sure that LUK is 3 above your level. Even if you do go Regular LUK Build, I recommend capping LUK when you reach 123 LUK through equips.

Low-LUK Build Low-LUK is the most common placement that is used now a days. It saves unnecessary LUK that you can get from equips and assigns it into int. This is the most efficient and recommend build. Funded Low-LUK magicians often use Doomsday Staff. While, Unfunded Low-LUK Magicians often go for Level 120+ wands or staffs. Funded: 43 Base LUK Unfunded: 80-90 Base LUK (Depends if you can reach 123 Final LUK) Middle: 70-75 Base LUK

Lukless Build Post Big Bang, this build is less frequently used. Spell/Wand/Staff mastery increases damage through the level of the weapon. Lukless magicians are forced to use only low level weapons that do not require LUK which , ultimately, lowers their damage. However, if you are rich or funded and can get 119 LUK from equips alone. I recommend going for Lukless because you will do insane damage.

Head over to NLC and take the cab to the Haunted Mansion. There in one of the doors you will find Twisted Jesters. The Jesters give you 1350Exp each kill.
