Lotus is a boss found in Black Heaven Core. He powers up Black Heaven and supplies Black Heaven with energy for it to work. However, Lotus in Black Heaven is only controlled by Gelimer, who aims to transform the human race by using Black Heaven. Stop Gelimer from achieving his 'dream' of revolution by destroying Black Heaven! To destroy Black Heaven, you have to take down Lotus, who is the core of Black Heaven.

  • Laser beam

Throughout this phase of the fight, Lotus will spawn 2 perpendicular lasers, rotating either clockwise or counterclockwise. The rotation (direction and speed) of the laser can change. Touching it is 100% HP every half second, so if you somehow survive, get out as soon as possible. If you die, wait until the laser moves past the spawn point (vertically below where Lotus physically is) before you respawn as you are subjected to the laser immediately once respawned.

  • Falling Debris
    • Blue Rock deals 10% damage, knocks you to the floor and stuns you for 1 second.
    • Scrap Metal deals 10% damage (20% in hard mode), knocks you to the floor and stuns you for 2 seconds.
    • Purple Stone deals 20% damage (30% in hard mode), knocks you to the floor and stuns you for 3 seconds.
  • Bots
    • Red Bots stun you for 1 second and deals 10% damage.
    • Green Bots reverses your directional keys for 1 second and deals 10% damage.
    • Blue Bots seals your skills for 1 second and deals 10% damage.

The bots will automatically die when it tries to inflict you with the status and damage. When you revive, all bots will disappear.

  • Force knockback

Deals 20% damage (25% in hard mode) and forcefully knockbacks you.

  • Summons balls that bounces around the map like light reflection.

It will grow in size overtime. Deals 20% damage (30% in hard mode) everytime you are in contact with the ball.

Lotus will jump up and throw 10 purple balls, 1 by 1. Area that it will land is marked purple on the floor and the ball will land on that area after 1 second. If you get hit, you get inflicted with 100% damage (can be blocked by guard based skills). Note that the background will turn dark during this skill, so it may be difficult to spot the purple area.

Recommendations[edit]

Note: This list may be inaccurate since it is only made by video observations.

  • The attackers must be dealing about 150 million damage every second on average per attacker (for 6 attacker party) or about 200 million damage per second on average per attacker (for 5 attacker party with a supporter like Bishop), assuming that Lotus is attacked about 90% of the time.
  • Bishops are very important as they have the Heaven's Gate buff, giving you extra lives. You are only allowed to die 5 times, and you may consume those lives faster than you realize. Heaven's Gate buff instantly revives you with full HP the moment your HP reaches 0 before the death count is reduced.
  • Phantoms can use their Penombre skill to dodge the vertical laser and Magicians can use their teleport to dodge all the laser. Mercedes can use their Aerial Barrage to dodge the horizontal lasers. Dawn Warriors can use their Equinox Slash skill to dodge the vertical laser. However, other jobs have almost no way to dodge so they must have superb control.
  • The bottom right platform portal is connected to the top left platform portal and The top right platform portal is connected to the bottom left platform portal. Use these to dodge the lasers as well.
  • Heaven's Gate cooldown is 10 minutes. When you die, you will revive automatically after 30 seconds.
  • At the core stage, only revive after the vertical laser has moved past the spawn point or else if you revive too early, you can instantly die as the laser will deal damage instantly when you revive. However, if you have the Spirit of Freedom skill (Resistance link skill), then you can stay invincible to the laser for a short time.
  • Laser deals damage every 0.5 seconds so if you have instant revival skills and you accidentally touched it, move away from it immediately as it might cost you a life.
  • After core stage, platforms may fall occasionally. Avoid those platforms while they fall and step on it when they reached the ground to avoid the lightning shock skill.
