Ligator

|
An alligator monster. Kind of slow, but its length gives it a wider attack range. It is weak against fire, though no characters have elemental attacks at this level. Sometimes, people on the upper range of Kerning Party Quest will hunt these while waiting to get in. Found in swampy areas, like those outside of Kerning City and Floating Market.
Monster Book: A swamp monster in the form of an alligator. Ligator is found slowly crawling around the marshes with sleepy eyes. It may be able to cast some powerful attacks but it is extremely slow, on the other hand, as well as vulnerable to Fire Attribute Attacks.

Oda Guardsman

Cold Eye

The second most powerful Evil Eye form that resides within Ellinia. Resistant to ice attacks but weak to fire. Handle with caution.

Iron Hog

A pig surrounded by armor. Highly resistant to attacks and is speedy, even though it does not deal much damage.

Dark Stone Golem
|
|
Old Favorite monster back in Beta. Faster than normal golems, but possessing the same skills. Found in Henesy's Golem Temple. Like most dark monsters, it is weak to holy magic.

Blue Mushmom

A monster resembling the Mushmom. It is found in Henesys's Mushroom Forest, and is not the same one as the one in Zipangu.

Devil Slime

The evil twin to the slime. Only Located in the Sewers of the Sharenian Castle. Only characters that are below level 30 can fight them; characters above level 30 cannot enter the area.

Croco

An evil crocodile that is very strong, but slow. It is a more advanced form of Ligator, found in Kerning Swamp, that has lost its weakness to fire.

An armored boar that spawns near Perion.

Surgeon Eye

Crows are annoying birds found flying around in good numbers around Zipangu. They fly around a lot so when you train on them be ready to walk around. Found in both crow forests and a single map in the Cemetery.

The Lowest ranked ninja found in Zipangu's Ninja Castle. It has a short ranged slash attack. Mysteriously, it changes into a wooden doll upon death. No one knows why, but you can pick it up and sell it (it's an etc. item after all).

A giant alligator that was accidentally created by Lakelis. It was once a mere Croco, but upon swallowing some Magic Potion of Growth that Lakelis threw into the sewer, it grew to the current size. Roams the swamps near Kerning City, serving as its area boss. It looks as though the bird is tricking the alligator into doing its bidding. It has no magic attacks, but it can cast some buffs, and when this happens the bird smacks the alligator in the head with the stick, as a warning. In addition, it can heal itself and nearby allies by 5,000.

Zombie Mushmom

Found in the Henesy's Mushroom Forest. This is pretty much a more powerful version of Mushmom with exactly the same earthquake attack. Like all undead monsters, it is weak to heal and Holy magic.

Fire Boar
|
|
A flaming boar, though no one knows how much these flames hurt the Fire Boar. As a result, it has a fiery temper. It attacks with great speed and strength and drops a lot of mesos for its level. Found in remote areas of Perion, particularly the Burnt Land. They used to be the monster of choice back in Beta, but now with the new monsters, not a lot of people hunt them any more.
Monster Book: The Wild Boar was training hard in the mountain plateaus when it was inspired by the heated sunlight which caused a big spark on its back. The Boars' such a fighting spirit has become a great example for all the fighters of Perion. Once in a while, though, the overly zealous Wild Boar would spark too big of a fire on its back and turn itself into a piece of roasted barbecue, offering themselves as great meals for the fighters of Perion.

Monsters that appear in Ellinia. Oddly enough, they use their bananas to attack. Despite the fact they can only throw bananas when stationary, they jump and move at a rather fast rate the rest of the time.

Crabs that inhabit Florina Beach. Weak to lightning.

Icy Mixed Golem

Appears in Golem's Temple: Golem's Temple 2. Drops Icy Mixed Blocks.

Clang

|
A stronger form of Lorang. Incredibly fast and deals lots of damage, but is still weak against lightning. Found in Florina Beach.

A monster of normal speed. It's bigger than it looks. Found in the Perion Excavation Site.

Tortie

A turtle-like monster which resides in the deepest parts of Florina Beach. Uses a powerful, unavoidable magic attack which can be quite annoying. It gives good money for its level, however.

Zombie Lupin

|
The Zombie Lupins were created in an accident involving Grendel, dark magic, and the Cursed Dolls the Zombie Lupins contain within them. As zombies, they are again weak to a cleric's healing powers and holy magic. Like normal Lupins, they still use their bananas as weapons, throwing them when provoked. Found in certain areas of Ellinia's forest. These also appear in the Amoria Party Quest.

Flaming Mixed Golem

Appears in Golem's Temple: Golem's Temple 3. Drops Flaming Mixed blocks, blue potions in high frequency, and Potted Maple Mini Tree item pot imps. The blocks are used twice in the Golem quest chain given by Bruce in Henesys.

Psycho Jack Box

A Jack-in-the-Box toy crafted by Jonas Prendergast, then possessed by his grief. Does low damage, but it can pierce through dark sight with its touch, though only in the Toy Workshop area. If you hit it, you might get a surprise...

Psycho Jack
|
|
When you hit the Box, Psycho Jack rears his ugly head. Seems to be the lowest level multi-form monster in the game. It turns red when it attacks. Like the first form, it can pierce through dark sight with its touch damage, but only in the Toy Workshop area. It gives 73 EXP for killing it, which is higher than the EXP obtained from the other monsters at its level. Found in Prendergast Mansion.

A flying monster that appears near Ellinia in the Forest of Evil. One of the few human enemies in MapleStory. Very annoying and not recommended for training. Interestingly, a Malady NPC was used for the Halloween Event in Maple Global.

An evil wizard named Francis who has been seen lurking all over Victoria Island over the course of Cygnus Knights and Aran training quests. Must be defeated as part of a quest assigned to Knights and Aran just before their second job. Aran have to defeat him multiple times in multiple quests primarily for unlocking skills. Located in Perion, in a secret cave. The password for entering his room is 프란시스는 천재 인형사! (Francis is a genius Puppeteer!). His main attack involves launching a magic spell through his puppet, this attack is weak but quick. He can seal, use Seduce, and heal himself for about 700hp so don't take him too lightly.

An elegant fox with a cloud on its back. Has much higher avoid than Raccoons. The cloud can be used for an exchange quest in Showa Town, and is needed for several quests. Some Cloud foxs have also transformed into humans to cause trouble in showa. They're allied with Flaming Racoons only, Cloud foxs turn into females rather than males.

It is a cute Raccoon with fire on its back. He is kind of slow and has low avoid. The wood he drops is also exchangeable in Showa Town. Rumor has it these Raccoons are capable of transforming into forms that resemble people and have a tendency to cause mischief, particularly with the residents of Showa Town...

The leader of all Zombie Lupins, controlled by a huge Cursed Doll. Faust is a monster created by Reef through his anger and madness towards Arwen. As Zombie Lupins will toss banana peels, Faust throws entire bunches of bananas. Unlike Zombie Lupin, it is NOT undead. It can cast immunity to weapon attack for short whiles. Spawns near Ellinia.
