The Knights of Cygnus are a series of job classes that are new to KoreaMS and MapleSEA. They involve in using elemental abilities to their advantage and possess unique skills compared to the standard job classes. Knights of Cygnus is currently only available in KoreaMS and MapleSEA, coming soon to ChinaMS.

Knights of Cygnus began when an empress of the Maple World called Cygnus sense the evil Black Magician lurking around the peaceful Maple World. Dark Magician is known for trying to destroy the Maple World, but he has previously failed to do so. Now, he has returned to once again wreck havoc. Hence, the Empress Cygnus becomes aware and recruit brave Maplers to become Knights of Cygnus whose duty will be to fight off the Dark Magician and his wicked followers.

In MapleSEA, He or she must be at least level 20 to create a new Knight of Cygnus character. This new character created to join the Knight of Cygnus, will be connected to the main character who created it. This connection allows the two characters to support each other through leveling. All the Noblesse, the new Knights of Cygnus, will receive the Blessing of the Spirit and gain an extra skill point whenever their linked main characters level up 10 times. Read the Noblesse section for more information.

This system in MapleSEA was removed in KoreaMS, as they used the normal "Create A Character" style at the main page to create a Knight of Cygnus character. In this new system, there is no longer any requirements such as being level 20 to create a Knight of Cygnus character. The two main character that have the highest level in the account levels the Blessing of the Sprite. There is no limitation in creating a Knight of Cygnus character compared to MapleSEA.

Pros

  • Stronger than the standard classes in the beginning.
  • Can use elemental abilities earlier than magicians.
  • Gains a useful summon in 1st job.
  • Gains their exclusive mount earlier than the standard class.

Cons

  • Their level limit is 120 instead of 200.
  • They can be expensive classes.

Noblesse

Unlike standard characters, you create your Cygnus character by having a level 20 and above character (also known as the parent character) talking to Ninehearts the Tactician in Ereb. Here, you can create your own Cygnus character in which would be automatically created once you've talked to Ninehearts. A small note that you can change your Cygnus characters skin tone and hair color which would remain permanent for the duration of the game .

Once you start your Cygnus character, you start in Ereb instead of the usual Maple Island. New players are given a special kind of overall robe, a badge which identifies you as a Cygnus and a hat. Quests in Ereb are simple just like in Maple Island.

Once your Cygnus character reaches level 10, talk to Ninehearts whom will direct you to your 5 job masters. Speak to Mikhail to become a Soul Master, Oz to become a Flame Wizard, Irene to become a Wind Breaker, Ikart to become a Nightwalker, and Hawkeye to become a Striker.
