Almost immediately to the left of the entrance there is a hiker who will walk down and give you HM06 Rock Smash.

The north path leads to the basement but is current inaccessible since you cant use Rock Smash outside of battle yet but that will be resolved after you beat Roark, Oreburgh's Gym Leader.

Take the east path and you will run into two trainers which are avoidable by going behind their backs. At the end is the exit to Oreburgh City.

Psyduck is first available to platinum players in Oreburgh Gate by walking in the cave. Diamond and Pearl players have to wait until later.

Psyduck learns some good Water moves, as well as some Psychic moves, such as Confusion and Zen Headbutt to expand their type coverage. Pick one up if you chose to not get an Abra or pick both up as they are both very useful later on!

#74 Geodude
Pokemon 074Geodude.png

Geodude is a good pick up for your team to beat those pesky electric types early on until you can find a better ground type such as Gible. Its defense is great but it has horrible speed due to the fact that its a rock.

It evolves into Graveler at level 25 and into Golem via player trade.

Unless you want to make multiple trips, only come here once you have a bike, Rock Smash, Strength, and Surf.

Go down the stairs after the entrance and go right and break some rocks to find TM70 Flash.

Make your way back to the stairs and now break the rocks to the left. There is a biker in the middle of the breakable rocks that explains that the jumps here can be only made with a bike in the 4th gear. Go above the ledge to find a stardust.

After breaking the rocks and jumping up the slopes you will find TM31 Brick Break. You will then Surf west to find Veteran Grant. After you beat him go down the stairs push and break rocks to get an Earth Plate and TM01 Focus Punch. I suggest using an escape rope, dig or teleport to get out.
