Pokémon Diamond and Pearl/Route 209

Route 209 connects Hearthome City to Solaceon Town. It has the Lost Tower and Hallowed Tower in it. It is home to some new Pokémon to catch and you can obtain the Good Rod from a fisherman here.

Travelling the route

When you first arrive on Route 209 from Hearthome there is Pokémon Breeder Albert and the grass patch above you has a Honey (DP) in the top right corner. Go down then go to the right on the lower bridge to speak to the fisherman for the Good Rod. Go over the upper bridge where you will find Jogger Richard, you can only battle him during the morning. To the right of him are Twins Emma & Lil. Take the bridge left of the twins to get to a berry patch with a Chesto Berry and a Leppa Berry. Head back towards the twins and on the middle bridge is Poké Kid Danielle. If you take the southern bridge and go to the end of the path you will find an X Accuracy (DP). Right before the top bridge there is a hidden Revive (DP). As you are crossing the bridge you will bump into Jogger Raul who you can only face in the morning. Just above him is Pokémon Breeder Jennifer. One step above Jennifer is a hidden Super Potion (DP). In the the rock pit above Jennifer is a hidden TinyMushroom (DP). In the bottom right corner is Hallowed Tower which looks like a well. Continue going up and you will find a berry patch with 2x Razz Berries. In a rock right before the mud slide is a hidden Awakening (DP). To get up the mud slide put your bike into gear 4 and gain speed to ride up it. Right after the mud slide is Cow Girl Shelley. To the left of Shelley is another mud slide which is tricky to get up and after the mud slide there is a Calcium. Go back to Shelley and to the right is the Lost Tower which you need to go into to get HM04 Strength if you are playing DP. To the left of the Lost Tower is Young Couple Ty and Sue. Just below the Lost Tower is a cuttable tree with TM47 Steel Wing. After you get the TM go into the Lost Tower.

Hallowed Tower

The Hallowed Tower is located in the southeast corner of Route 209.

Spritomb

First, you must obtain the Odd Keystone either by digging around in the Underground, by using the Dowsing Machine in Twinleaf Town, or getting it from the Black Belt on Route 208. Then, you must talk to 32 players in the Underground.

Note: it doesn't actually require 32 different players; you can talk to one player 32 times and you will meet the requirement. You just need to leave the Underground after every chat. The precise method for doing this has been tested with two pokemon diamond roms using two R4s, so it should work as well on the original games.

Once youve done both of those then head to broken tower south of Solaceon Town and use the Odd Keystone on it to summon Spiritomb
