This is the last route between you and Stark Mountain. Even the wild Pokémon here will give you a hard time if your Pokémon aren't at least level 60 or higher. This is a great place to level up before you go to Stark Mountain if you feel that you're not tough enough.
Wild Pokémon
Note: the fully evolved Pokémon (i.e. Rhydon, Weezing) are levels 54-56. However, the first form Pokémon (i.e. Gligar, Poliwag) are levels 20-23.

Catching Strategy
|
Camerupt |
Fire Ground |
since he is immune to Electric moves like Thunderwave, he is hard to inflict with a status condition. You will risk a Grass Type Pokémon as Camerupt knows Fire moves. Your best bet is to either catch one at night with Dusk Balls, or use a Quick Ball at the very start of the battle and hope for the best.
|
Graveler |
Rock Ground |
Same as Camerupt, except he doesn't know any Fire Type moves. You won't risk a Grass Pokémon against him, though, so Stun Spore or Sleep Powder and an Ultra Ball are your best bet. Dusk Balls are always a good choice at night
|
Rhydon |
Rock Ground |
Same as Graveler
|
Weezing |
Poison |
Since Weezing will almost always use Explosion as his first move, you will probably have to either put him to sleep and throw balls at him or use a Quick Ball and hope for the best
|
Poliwhirl |
Water |
Paralyze, poison, or put it to sleep, then throw Net Balls
|
Poliwag |
Water |
Same as Poliwhirl
|
Gligar |
Poison Ground |
paralyze or put to sleep, but use a Grass Pokémon at your own risk
|
Banette |
Ghost |
Banette is easy to catch, but Ground-type moves aren't recommended.

Points of Interest
There's a house much like the Old Lady's Rest Stop in R/S/E that will heal your Pokémon. Handy to do before heading off to Mount Stark.
