Pokémon Diamond and Pearl/Eterna Forest

Eterna Forest lies in the middle of Route 205. It's home to the Old Chateau which is accessible after you can use Cut. Several Bug Pokémon and some Flying/Ghost Pokémon live here as well. You will also get your first companion trainer who will heal your Pokémon after each battle.

When you enter, a woman named Cheryl will ask you to accompany her through the forest because of her being scared of Team Galactic. She will not only fight alongside you in every battle, but she will also completely heal you after every fight, trainer or wild Pokémon encounter. All battles here are double battles even when you face wild Pokémon (unless you talk to one trainer). However, you cannot catch a wild Pokémon until you have defeated its partner. Cheryl's only Pokémon is a Level 15 Chansey who knows Egg Bomb, Refresh, and Softboiled.

Start off by going left into the grass to find an Antidote. The next grass patch north of you contains the only moss rock in the game; it's where Eevee evolves into into Leafeon when leveled near it. No leaf stone is required for this. Eevee is obtained in Hearthome City after you receive the National Dex in DP and this requirement is removed in Platinum.

Head back to the entrance and take the right path up and you will encounter an unavoidable multi battle with Bug Catcher Jack and Lass Briana.

Continue north and you will find a Paralyze Heal. Follow the path and you will run into two pyschics, Lindsey and Elijah, whom you can fight individually if you want to. In the grassy to the south of the pyschics is Great Ball in DP and a Net Ball in Platinum. Continue following the path and you will hit a fork where on the south path there are two Bug Catchers, Phillip and Donald, whom you can also fight individually.

Continue on the south path to the corner of the forest and you will see a Potion. Turn around and go right up the first path you see past a sign and you will find two more pyschics, Kody and Rachael.

Continue of the path north and pass the first grass patch after cliff and go up the second one to find a Honey in DP or a Green Shard in Platinum. Follow the path right and you will get to the exit and in Platinum you will receive a Soothe Bell from Cheryl as gift for helping her. Upon exit you will be back on Route 205 but on the north side going to Eterna City.

Old Chateau

The Old Chateau is near the exit to Eterna Forest. To reach it, you will need to use Cut to hack through the bushes blocking the way. Inside, items including TM 90, Dread Plate, and Old Gateau are waiting to be found. In the room with the big table you can find these: Rare Candy and Big Pearl (Platinum). There are even real ghosts inside...

Gardenia will be standing where the Cut-able bushes after you beat her in DP or after you obtain the National Dex in Platinum. She will tell you about recent activities there, but she seems too scared to go inside. Check the TV at night (8:00 pm-3:59 am) to find a Rotom inside.
