Battle items
Permanent items
These items can be used repeatedly in battle and don't get used up. They are considered by some a prototype of the more famous Summons that are introduced in Final Fantasy 3 and became a staple of the Final Fantasy series.
- Gaia drum: found at the bottom of Tropical Island, bought at the top of it; it casts "Earthquake 10"; it is actually used up after about a hundred usages;
- Wyvern: found right before the Cyclone; it casts "Blaze 7"; it is also a key item.
Consumable items
Mostly won from defeated enemies or sometimes found in chests. They can be used once only, unless stated otherwise.
