The Duke of Lumbridge will give you an Air Talisman and tell you to bring it to the head wizard in the Wizards' Tower. Go to the Wizards' Tower, which is south of Draynor, and go downstairs to the basement.


Speak to the Duke of Lumbridge somewhere in the second floor of the Lumbridge Castle in Lumbridge. Ask him for a quest and he will hand you an air talisman and tell you to take it to the Wizards’ Tower to seek further counsel. Once you have acquired the air talisman, take it to the Wizards’ Tower south of Draynor Village. I suggest that you don’t teleport here yet because it is so close to where you are.  
Wizard Sedridor is the head wizard. Look for him in the basement and then talk to him. He will take your Air Talisman and give you a package that you have to deliver to the Aubury in Varrock. The Aubury is south of Varrock's west bank, and is inside the runes shop. So go to Varrock and talk to the Aubury.


Once you have arrived at the Wizards’ Tower, located a ladder going down into the basement of the Wizards’ Tower, and climb down. In the basement, find a wizard named Sedridor. Talk to him about the talisman and he will eventually take the air talisman and tell you to bring a package to Aubrey, the Rune Seller in Varrock.  
Talk to him twice and he'll want you to deliver some notes to Wizard Sedridor. So go back to the Wizards' Tower and go down into the basement and talk to Wizard Sedridor.


When you have attained the package, you can either teleport or walk to Varrock. Once in Varrock, head south of the Varrock East Bank and locate a red flame looking symbol on your mini-map; this is the Rune Shop. Now, speak to Aubrey and give him the package. Aubrey will promptly speak, and then tell you to bring some notes back to Sedridor. Now you may use a Amulet of Glory to teleport to Draynor. Or, of course, you could just walk the whole way there.  
The wizard will give you back your Air Talisman and will explain to you the rune crafting skill. When he is done talking, you will be done the quest.


Once at Draynor Village, head south again, to the Wizards’ Tower, and down the stairs into the basement, and finally, speak to the Wizard Sedridor. He will take the notes and read them, and then give you back your air talisman and give you this long and boring lecture about the powers of these talismans and the secrets that could be unlocked with them. After his long speech, you will be rewarded.

Rune Mysteries Quest

Description: Recent research at the Wizards Tower has found a way to create Runes for the first time in centuries. Assist the head wizard Sedridor in his research and he too may teach you these secrets!

Starting Point: Lumbridge Castle. Go to the second floor and talk to the Duke of Lumbridge.

Difficulty: Easy

Length: Medium (lots of walking)

Requirements: 37 magic (if you don't want to walk)

Items Needed: None

The Duke of Lumbridge will give you an Air Talisman and tell you to bring it to the head wizard in the Wizards' Tower. Go to the Wizards' Tower, which is south of Draynor, and go downstairs to the basement.
