'''Route 202 is where you will learn to catch Pokémon. Also here you can catch a new Pokémon in Shinx who's an Electric type and a great addition to your team. You will run into your first trainers as well who will give experience and money.'''
Enter Route 202 and into the first grass you see. Professor Rowan’s assistant (Lucas if you’re playing a girl, Dawn if you’re playing a boy), will call you over and show you how to catch Pokémon. It’s helpful to lower the foe’s HP into the yellow or red before throwing the ball. The assistant will then bestow upon you 5 Pokéballs.

==Pokémon catching lesson==
All are recommended for capture at this point in time for a large amount of type coverage. Training them early in the game is also essential, so start immediately.
Enter Route 202 and once you go into the first grass you see you will find Lucas/Dawn. He/she will call you over and tell you to say goodbye to your mom. While saying bye to your mom Barrys mom gives you a parcel to give to Barry. Once done return to Lucas/Dawn and he/she will show you how to catch Pokémon. It’s helpful to lower the foe’s HP into the yellow or red before throwing the ball. You will then receive you 5 Pokéballs from them and you can start catching new Pokémon now!
