- The most ever players recorded on RuneScape at one time is 280,000.
- RuneScape has a number of servers in different countries, each of which can host up to two thousand players. This allows for a massive amount of social interaction.
- Every holiday season, Jagex inserts a seasonal update into the game. For instance, in Christmas 2005, it was possible to gain bobble hats and striped scarves, which would now be worth hundreds of thousands GP if if were able to be sold. The rare items of holiday drops that were tradable are now worth many million GP. Jagex now makes the holiday items untradable to stop people from making money too easily off them.
