Chaos Tunnels Guide to Green Dragon

I have alphabetized a list of each monster in the Chaos Tunnels, for a quick guide to the green dragons, on the game of RuneScape

[1]

This guide will tell you which direction to go, directly, from the room you are currently in. There are times when the portals send you into a room at random. This is when the second list of monsters will be very helpful. This list does not include the portals which are disabled.

  • Note This guide does not give you the only path to get to green dragons, There are many other options. I just give you the one which I use. The one which I believe is the easiest to do.

Before you go onto reading this, I would advise you to open an Identical page, then selecting the link given below. This link gives you the one and only map of chaos tunnels, that relates to the information I give you.

[1]

=What Should I Take With?=

I Recommend you have these Items

  • You better not step FOOT into the tunnels without a source of teleportation. Don't think that nooby, lumbridge, home teleport will do you any good. You will die before you can pull your chalk out.
    • I prefer to bring a glory amulet, charged (obviously), because then I can go straight back to edge ville, bank, and head back if I wish.
  • FOOD!! If you do not bring food, well, I guess the gargoyles can tell you why.
    • Bring a bit extra. I like to bring around 10-15 extra tunas before I enter the tunnels (if I don't pray). By the time I reach the green dragons, those will be gone, and I will have my other food to serve me well while I pwn those dragons. Hah :)
  • Prayer potions. Or at least pray before you go into the tunnels. Again, if you have a low combat, I advise you to bring a prayer potion. Don't complain at their price. A measly 7k is much better then losing everything in your pack. This prayer potion may help you to save much more food, and therefore actually filling your inventory with what you wish to retrieve, rather then running out of food by the time you reach your destination point.
  • Bing a familiar if you have the summoning level for it. Bring one you can hold items in. This will give you more time to kill dragons, and less time in the bank and tunnels. I would say only summon it when your inventory is full, so your familiar's summoned time will be longer. However, you may decide to summon it as soon as you reach the dragons so it can help you kill off the baby black dragons. Or even the green dragons. Just watch the health of your familiar, if it has items in it's pack and is almost dead, I suggest you teleport.
  • Bring some potions! If your defense is low, I would say bring a super defense potion. Maybe even a defense potion even. Make sure you take a dose right before you enter the tunnels. Continue taking a dose when you think the potion has warn off to much.
  • !!!Anti Dragon shield. Unless you wish to die by dragons breath, of course.
  • Anti Fire Potion, correct me if I am wrong, but I believe I remember the dragon being able to hurt me with the fire, even with the shield on. So a dose of this will protect you from it completely. It lasts until it says it has warn off. (It will say in general chat)

Mellee

  • Bring some armor that will actually protect you. Don't go into the tunnels with addy armor, expecting to go own some dragons.

Chances are, the Infernal Mages will get you first.

  • Bring a good weapon. If you do not own one, borrow one. Get a dragon dagger (p++), or possibly a scimitar. Heck, bring a newby dragon longsword if you have to! I myself, prefer to have a whip, and a Dragon Dagger Poisoned ++. Don't use your special power with the whip, use it on the dragon dagger, and poison the dragons your first hit, that way they will die faster. Green dragons dying faster = more money and food in your bank.
    • Super Strength and Attack potions will help you kill the green dragons eleventeen times faster!
  • If you are doing slayer, a black mask will help you hit these dragons so much harder. It's nice.
  • Defense potion, as stated above.

Range

  • One problem about range, is the armor isn't that weak against the dragons. This is because, well of course, they are made of dragon hide. If you believe your range level, and defence level is high enough, go right ahead.
  • Use a cross bow, you need to be wielding that anti dragon shield at all times.
  • I'd say use some good bolts. Emerald Enchanted bolts poisons, but opal enchanted can own as well.
  • Ranger potions.
  • Possibly some armor to wear for the trip to the dragons.
  • Defense potion, stated above.
  • Keep in mind, that it is nearly impossible to find a hiding spot. So the dragons will be attacking you at all times.

Mage

  • Wear something good like Ahrims.
  • The staff will help you weaken the dragons, and own them faster.
  • Keep in mind that, dragon hide has a stronger defense against magic attacks.
    • Keeping that in mind, I hope you can use Fire Wave. Otherwise, bring a friend with at least level 70 prayer, and let them know where you are at all times ;]
  • Again, Bring some extra armor if you wish, for your trip to the dragons.
    • As well as the defense potion, stated above.
  • Magic Potion

Exact Portals to Dragons21

The Numbers represent which room you are in relating to this map of Chaos Tunnels stated above.

First room you will enter will be the Gargoyles (Room 30) From your current location, I explain how to get to the next portal in that room. If by any chance your portal noobs up on you, and sends you to a different room, messing up the order below, Scroll all the way down to the Complete list of monsters, and find out what room you are in. Then once you are back on track, continue on this list. Be careful, remember it's Multi Attack Zone. The monsters WILL attack. More then one sometimes. Just because you are level 130, doesn't mean you wont get hurt quickly. Some monsters will do the trick. It may be useful to check out the monster in the next room, and use the correct prayer against them, so you can not get hurt. Though, there will be times when you will get attacked by Mage, and Mellee at once. So choose which prayer you prefer.
