The first level of the game is simply to familiarize the player with the controls and with each viking's abilities. The path to the exit is straightforward, but this stage demonstrates the use of Baleog's offensive capabilities and how to use Olaf's shield for defense.
The first level of the game is simply to familiarize the player with the controls and with each viking's abilities. Start by having Erik jump over the energy field and climb the ladder on the other side, then walk right to the exit. Next, switch to Olaf and have him walk right and fall off the ledge, then descend the ladder and walk right (the door will automatically open) to the exit. Then switch to Baleog and have him walk left and use either his sword or his arrows to destroy the creature there, and descend the ladder to the exit.
