This level scrolls automatically and is almost impossible to complete without the red switch activated. Also, it is nice to have either a mushroom or a feather cape to start the level with. Yoshi is also nice to have because of his second jump ability if you get into a pinch.

Early Stage On this level you start off on a solid platform. It is filled with many floating walkways and balance platforms. You will need to continually jump on and off of the platforms so that they wont sink too far for you to recover. You'll come to a Red Koopa Troopa who you do not need to kill. He is there for practice on killing while jumping between balance platforms. At the second Red Koopa Troopa you will need to continue holding jump while you kill him. This will launch Mario high enough to land on the wooden bridge. After the next pair of balance platforms you will come to a critical point in the stage. If you have not activated the red switch you will have to continually jump off of the Green Koopa Troopas in order to bridge this gap. If you have you only have to walk along the red blocks to the wooden bridge.

Middle Stage Here you will need to wait for the screen to scroll for a bit, you can't get ahead of yourself here. There are three sets of two balance platforms, with each pair higher than the last. You need to land on the first platform to raise the second platform high enough for you to jump to the next pair, repeat this process. When you reach the top ride the second balance platform down until you see the next set. From there you finally land on a piece of solid ground. If you are quick you can catch a ? block for a power-up. At this point you'll need to loosen one block above you and move to that level until you reach the top, this sould be done fairly quickly.
