Walkthrough[edit]

While Gentle Glen has guests with a preferred intensity rating of less than 4, the guests at Adrenaline heights want rides with an intensity rating above 9. Like before, there is some wiggle room as they'll be willing to get on rides down to 6.50 intensity. However, it does mean that they won't get on almost every flat ride as they can't get close to that rating. Winning this scenario will require very good coaster designs, but once there's a few in the park, money and guests will be rolling in.

There is only one ride at the start: a suspended roller coaster called Cathexis. It's stats are great, allowing you to charge well over $6. However, the nausea rating is very high and vomit will quickly appear on the paths. Hire more staff with one handyman patrolling the exit of Cathexis to mitigate the puke. In addition, make the queue path for Cathexis longer as each train can hold 24 guests and the current line can only have 16-17. Once again, this is another scenario without a Drink Stall, so set research to Shops & Stalls. Unfortunately, it will take six attempts before the Drink Stall finally gets researched, so thirsty guests will become a problem until September.

Thankfully, the level starts with 13 coasters to pick from as well as one thrill ride that actually can reach high intensity levels, so researching new intense rides isn't a priority. Before building a coaster, build a Whoa Belly. It is one of the few flat rides that can reach 8 intensity once it hits 56 mph (90 kmh) and with how quick the ride time is, it'll go through customers very quickly and it'll turn a profit almost instantly. Try building it near the station of Cathexis so your lone mechanic can just patrol that small area to keep them maintained.

For building new roller coasters, they'll need to have intensity of at least 6.50. Once a ride passes 10 intensity, it starts to take penalties toward its excitement rating. It's a bit negligible at 10, but it gets more noticeable around 12. The key is managing G forces, having big drops, and the amount of inversions if available. Some coasters also have naturally high intensity ratings. The Steel Wild Mouse and Wooden Crazy Rodent Roller Coasters are great to start out as they are cheap to build, can be made compactly, and reach high excitement easily. If you want to make a cheap launch mode coaster, the Stand-Up Steel Roller Coaster has this mode, reaches 8 intensity easily and in this level, it has vertical loops and corkscrews. Other naturally high intensity coasters are the Inverted Roller Coaster, Suspended Roller Coaster, and Wooden Roller Coaster. Use these coasters to get a feel for making long, crazy tracks that play to their strengths.

Coasters always bring in more guests compared to flat rides, so building at least 4 coasters in the first should already put everything on track with around 550-600 guests. Future research should go to Roller Coasters to get the remaining five, then Thrill Rides to get the Roto-Drop. The uneven terrain would usually be a problem, but you should be flush with cash by the end of the first year, so editing the landscape shouldn't hurt your budget. Throughout the next two years, keep building coasters and advertise to get new people toward your new coasters. If money somehow gets too tight, try building a couple more Whoa Bellies and Roto-Drops or small launch coasters to raise funds.
